This 'snappier' "joke" got old a year ago.

It was funny for a couple of days, now it's just incredibly sad to keep using the same, tired, old joke every time there's an update.

A year ago? Nah mate, this has been going for many years. Every Mac 10.x.x update that has come out has had someone say "Safari seems snappier™".

This is one that's never going away.

Anything that is X.X.X such as this 2.2.1 is not really an update and I think should actually be called a bug fix instead since they never really add new features. Likely the next with "new features" will be either 2.3 or 3.0, depending on what Apple wants to call it.

I guess you wern't around for the 1.1.1/1.1.2/1.1.3 updates, each of which added funcionality...1.1.3 in particular added massive functionality.

It has been a while since a proper update maybe they have hit a wall with the hardware. So far since 2.0 its mostly been bug fixes, 2.1 was marketed as one giant fix to the cluster**** that was 2.0

Why do folks feel compelled to tell the world that they're updating? Like I care that you are *updating*, how about "I updated and no problems".

I look at these threads specifically for those comments. If someone else updated and had no problems, that means that I can feel fairly secure in updating my own iPhone.

There have been several OS X updates that went awry, where people mentioned applications ceasing to function after updating or weird bugs occurring. So I stand shivering in a corner, waiting for the trailblazers out there to let me know the coast is clear.

That's not a bug

How is that not a bug? Under "International" in settings if "Region Format" is "United Kingdom" then all formats should be set to the standards for the UK. If distances are displayed as KMs in the Maps app instead of Miles then that particular localisation has been overlooked and is therefore a mistake.

Xcode - Window - Organizer (used it to take iPhone screenshots directly on my Mac) doesn't work any more, obviously I have to look for an update.

Edit: Found it at
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/641808/

Need a new 1.75 GB version of Xcode... Downloading...

Don't they use Km in the UK?

From MuscleNerd on dev team.

Since this update doesn't touch the iPhone 2G baseband, your unlock patch will remain in place. So for iPhone 2G owners who care only about keeping their unlock -- not about jailbreaking -- you can take this update right now.

So this is it ? A couple of bugfixes ? Nothing else ? C´mon Apple, you could´ve at least released 1 item from your "next version iPhone OS" update in february!

Damn, I feel used...

What about all the non-UK countries that use km, but wish to stick with UK-English? Examples: Australia, New Zealand, and probably a lot of European countries.

Oh wait, you meant in the regions format. Is the bug there or where you input UK-English (language)?
