Well, its pretty simple. We ordered them through Ingram Micro (an apple distributer) and they showed up out of the blue about 2 weeks ago. The pictures are taken from the store I work at, where we have 2 in stock, ready to be sold. If you walk in, (MacOutfitters) You could walk out with one today!

I still think Apple should bring out a 17" widescreen CD like the iMac has, it would be the best seller of the lot. I do appreciate you driving to work to show it off mate! Cheers!

Oh well.

I think I will quit now. It's almost 11 pm here, and I wanna go home :)

Sorry if the pics are not of real pro-quality, I only have an old cheap camera, and the lighting in the room wasn't all that gr8. (Besides that, I have no talent :p )

Still, was a lot of fun. Hope you guys enjoyed the pics.

How sturdy are the new displays? Is that base heave duty? Cause on the "older" displays there were three "feet", now there is only one....

The base is heavy duty, and the display is very sturdy!
It doesn't move from side to side, it really feels rock solid!

I wonder how the 23" and the 30" will be.

Costs in Buying a 30".

it would probably go on and on less if you would have read his previous posts explaining how he plans on buying the new monitor.

I did read the previous post, which is why I wrote mine. Buying a 30" requires other costs. The price difference between it and a 23", the required 6800 board. The fact a PCI or PCI-X port gets blocked from use (Bad if you're working with Pro-Tools), and a possible adapter card to connect the ADC output of the old flat panel to convert it to a DVI to work with the new 6800 board. Costs are real. I was joking regarding all of those costs, hence bank robbing. As for people who can't afford a giant monster display, the general information about what is needed let's people who want to save up know what they need to save for. Humor of bank robbing being a nice touch or not. I thought it was funny.

Hey you missed something these incredible displays have 16ms response time !!!!!!

Find on LCD with 30, 23, or 20 inch with that response time !!!!!
Thats the biggest gamer Monitors in the World

Respect, man. Thanx for sharing those pictures. Now I can go to sleep and dream of a 30" ;)

Bright sparks?

How do these babies compare for brightness with the last gen' screens?

Great pics, man! macrumors should have some kinda badge for "poster of the day/week/month"! Now excuse me while I get rid of all the drool... :p

P.S. I think the back of the new displays looks almost better than the front!

nice!

VERY NICE DISPLAYS!

My only question is : If I connect things to the ports on the back of the displays will I see the wires when I am looking at the front?
