First off, if Orton gets pulled for Grossman before he loses a game, he's going to get a bad attitude. It will hurt his mental game, period. Its fine to be a critic of Orton, but with Ron Turner calling the plays I don't quite think the offense will ever click like you guys might expect. I've seen ron turner coaching and ron turner offenses for first hand, and it was god awful.
Nor do I wish to pull Orton if he doesn't loose. Even if he does loose I'm not opposed to leaving him in, as long as he can get the offense produce.

As for Ron Turner, I'm still not entirely sure about him either, though he is better then either Shoop or Shea. I understand your point about Turner at U of I but he never had much talent there anyways. What about when he was with the Bears before. I believe it was in 95 when Salam rushed for over 1000 yards while both Conway and Graham both had over 1000 receiving. In order to get numbers like that he has to know a thing or two about calling a game. I don't think we will see numbers like that at all with him this time around because of how dominant the defense is and Lovie's desire to run the ball.

Regardless, the Bears are winning... call it luck, call it a great Defense or whatever... it is safe to say that the offense is non existent and if that means pulling Orton then so be it... because as hot as the D has been, they need an offense that can score and I personally think that Rex will supply the spark that the bears offense needs

Yeah, the Bears D is reminiscent of the Ravens' defense back when they won the SuperBowl - they practically didn't need an offense at the time! ;)

Please make it stop.

I am watching Arizona vs. Niners, FOX is bugging the crap out of me, their sound on the HD feed is ****** for the game, its causing my center channel to crackle.
Hey, at least your cable CARRIES fox on HD. On my Adelphia service, you can get NBC, ABC, CBS, and PBS, but no Fox. One annoying thing about the HD signal is it seems to be about 2 seconds behind the analog signal. So if you're talking on the phone to someone during the game, your friend spoils the action. It's like having the audio off on a movie, and you see a car driving but hear the crash early. Not sure why the delay, if it's universal or just my cable service - even if I do PIP, with the same channel but one in HD, the HD comes in 2 seconds later. Interestingly, commercials are also completely different. (You'll get one set of commercials on analog, and a different set on HD.)

Dave

You'll also notice that TiVo delays the broadcast as well. But only by about .5 second or so.

I notice the same thing between DirectTV HD and DirectTV regular from my bedroom versus the living room..

GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! I am getting NFL Sunday ticket next year. Below is a direct quote of my post from 10/24/05

I am sooo mad at CBS, actually my local affiliate... I live in Louisville KY. About 100 miles south of Indianapolis and 90 miles west of Cincinnati. Normally our local station makes it a point to carry the Colts game however today they decided to show the cinci pittsburgh game.. I understand why they did it, assuming the Colts game was going to be a blowout and that the cinci pitts game would be more entertaining.. But still... Thanks for letting me rant.
.

They did it again to me in December.. Same teams.. Oh well at least this time Pittsburgh took a beating.

what a lackluster mnf game. I was waiting for kickoff of the third quarter, channel surfed for a few minutes, and came back to the game. 15 seconds had gone by, and seattle had another defensive touchdown... <shrug>

At least it will be a game and not a rout like tonight. Heck the packers might even win another game. (Sorry mac-dawg)

Good point - it will be interesting to see which team can pull off the loss in that one... :p ;)

What will the final score be? I expect it will be within a TD, but I am just curious if it is going to be a high scoring shootout or a low scoring snoozer. Any thougts?

Where is it? If it's at Lambeau, lower scoring - if it's in the Silverdome, higher scoring.

At Lambeau... shiver...

I guess when it was scheduled, there was a possibility that this could be a division-decider. Will root for Green Bay now that Mooch is gone and the Niners could do with that high draft pick (even if it is to trade Leinart to someone else assuming Bush comes out and goes to Texans)

Yeah, that will be a cold one then - I'd say low scoring for sure. As for the outcome, I'm not sure who will try hardest for the loss... ;)

I think the Packers will want to loose a little more. With only 2 wins they have a decent shot at the first overall pick. I think it would be interesting which way they would go with that. They just drafted Rodgers and have Green at running back with quality back ups. A receiver would be a good compliment if Favre decides to stay and could really give them an unbelievable passing game with Walker, Driver and Franks. It depends on what's there for receivers. It really looks like they need help on defense though, maybe A.J. Hawk.

Clearly you meant "safety" and not "TD". ;)
