Damnit! Down 3-2 now. Arrrrggggggghhhh. What to do next? Hopefully we'll have Connoly and Numminem back next game though. Lindy Ruff said at the beginning of the series that Connoly would be back during this series, and now is his time. Lets see two big guys for Buffalo come back and revive this team!

I can't believe that call though. He dropped his stick as soon as it got around him for god sakes!

How exactly do you see any momentum? Clearly a 4-3 victory in overtime is not momentum.

Agreed, I doubt next game will be a blowout. I actually think Buffalo will win it. We'll see if Connolly or Numminen are back, they are definately going to be needed next game.

Okay...breathing again.

I thought the Sabres were in big trouble after holding the 1-0 lead for the entire game before giving up the tying goal with 3 minutes and change left. But way to keep battling, guys!

And playing basically the whole game with four defensemen...wow.

Hope they're brimming with confidence heading into Game 7 now...

YES!!!!!!!!!! Wow, my girlfriend and I got in our Sabres garb (My old black Hasek jersey and a Hasek t-shirt and sprayed our hair half silver and half red) and we got a win! Definitely wearing this same deal for Thursday's game seven. Funny part is, we have a childhood development training course that we have to go to so we will miss the game. We will look like some loonies up at that place though! hahahahahaha.

Game Seven here we come!!!!!!

Wow that OT was breathtaking.

I'm so mad because Ward had it and it just barely bounced in.

It was all because the dumbass refs don't know interference when it stares them in the eye. Yuck.

Oh well, Carolina can handle a home game 7.

Great game!

Although, I'm not sure which market is more of a nightmare for Gary Bettman, Buffalo or Carolina?
Buffalo... because Carolina has better fans. :p (And a MUCH bigger television market, even if you just count Raleigh and not the entire state.)

Right.

It doesn't matter if the market is bigger if they don't know the difference between a puck and their left nostril. Buffalo lives and breathes hockey (when it's not football season). RDU lives and breathes college hoops.

So many Buffalonians have moved to North Carolina that you'd have a decent TV draw in both places if Buffalo went to the finals.

Yeah, and Staal's little pirouette was a trip by McKee ;) I'm pretty sure BOTH teams have gotten the short end of the shaft with penalties (specifically the overtime penalty last game when he dropped the stick).

Game seven will be a dousy for sure!

I forgot about that. That was so ridiculous, you could clearly see he had just caught an edge.

Yeah, I was a little angered when the announcers even tried to say that maybe they just didn't get a good view from the replay and that the ref could have had a better view. I mean, come on. Replay doesn't lie.

So I take it you believe that the canes will be easier on the oilers?

Not necessarily. A Canadian team winning would just tickle me pink.

I'm just not really a big Buffalo fan, and I picked more Carolina players in my hockey pool. :p

Looks like the Sabres are going to be without Numminen AND McKee tonight... Numminen's injury reflared, and McKee's got a nasty infected cut on his leg that requires hospitalization. This makes the Sabres down FOUR of their starting defensemen.

So: Sabres wickedly shorthanded on the bench, Carolina has home ice, and today marks the start of hurricane season. All good omens for a Carolina victory tonight!

That will just make a Sabres victory all the sweeter...

(Seriously, down four defensemen? That's ridiculous...I have no idea how they've made it this far, and they just keep getting slapped with more bad luck.)

Small typo in your post: You misspelled "unlikely" as "sweeter".

Just thought I'd point that out.

Hmm...Safari's spell checker didn't pick that one up. Must be correct.

Saber's won last night. I was thrilled. They owned the game as far as play wise. Both teams have incredible goalies, but Wade is the one that kept the Canes in the game, the ENTIRE game.

Game 7, hoping Sabers take it.

have to agree with you there. Only reason I like the Sabres is because they knocked out my Flyers and whoever beats my team has to win to make it easier to deal with on my end. Anyone into AHL? Incredible game 7 between the bears and pirates.
