Well, unfortunately the wings I retrofitted onto my jersey didn't work as planned, instead I fell straight into the laps of three beautiful women with nice breasts and great hair and they took me back to their place and had their way will me all night.

Although I didn't start aup a group that heckled the refs.

"NICE CALL REF, YOU ****!"

"THANKS FOR LOOKING THE OTHER WAY YOU PAID OFF BASTARD!"

Yeah, I almost started a riot before plunging into the abyss of women... good times.

Well at least SOMEONE was able to score last night.:D

<sigh> Just got back from the Sharks throroughly pathetic performance tonight, losing 6-3 in Game 5 to Edmonton. Bad night all around -- the Sharks were completely lifeless with one of their worst performances of the season.

The evening started off shamefully when some people decided to boo "O Canada". I know there was some booing during "The Star-Spangled Banned" in Edmonton during Game 4, but this was just embarassing. Whatever happened to common courtesy and respect?

Anyway -- looks like Edmonton will move on to the Western Conference finals against Anaheim.

Not a good night here in SJ.

That was a beautiful game by Edmonton yesterday. Here I was thinking they'd be lucky to win a game in the first round and now here they are one game away from going to the conference finals.

yea , although I'm sure it has happened here in Canada before. Never heard it in Vancouver though.

I'm so excited, I can't believe Edmonton is going to the CF. I really want them to win it this year, after the lockout I would love to see a Canadian team with the cup.

I love how the whole team played great. It wasn't a spectacular game by an individual (except Roloson), even the 4th line was playing well.

:D

Yay, Oilers!

Yeah, booing the national anthem. Not good. Guess those fans got theirs. I wonder how the six Canadians that play for the Sharks felt?

That's what I said to my friend. It is so dumb of the fans thinking their booing the other time, when in fact they're booing their own players. I mean god, this isn't the damn olympics. They weren't singing the Oiler song.

Since you asked...

Scott Thornton: "It was disappointing. Our fans are doing their best to obviously make a lot of noise out there. But I don't think that's the time to do it. We have a lot of Canadians on our team, so it was a little disrespectful. I wasn't too happy about it."

Patrick Marleau: "I'm Canadian; they're just booing the team, not the anthem. That's how I took it."

Scott Hannan: "I have no comment on that."

Thanks for that. I had really wanted to see what the players had thought. I really didn't think they would have discussed it in an interview.

Congratulations to the Oilers. They definitely played with more passion and determination than the Sharks. How in the world can they blow a 2-0 lead and drop 4 in a row. Absolutely pathetic.

Good luck against Anaheim -- I'll be rooting for the Oilers. Well, not for the Oilers to win per se, but more like rooting for Anaheim to lose. :D

What a game between the Sabres and 'Canes...sheer craziness. Bodies flying everywhere, blocked shots galore, great goaltending...

Hoping the Sabres can hold on for the win...

They barely did. If there were a few more minutes I'm sure Carolina would have scored. That was an awesome game with such a fast pace.

Yeah, it took awhile for my heart to start beating again after the end of that one. Miller made save after save down the stretch...and Sabres defenders just blocked so many shots, it was unbelievable. It was fitting that the last shot was a solid block...

Feh. Carolina would have won this game but for the fact that they totally slacked off for the entire second period... I was at the game and we were doing really well aside from that one 20 minute period.

Don't worry, though... we came back from being 2 games down to the Habs. We'll come back from being one game down to the Sabres.

HAH! You can hardly compare the habs to the sabres.

Kinda looks like it's going to be Sabers Vs. Edmonton. which would mean the lower seeds of both confrences triumph this year, either way.

I hope the Sabers win it, I think they deserve it more than anyone at this point. They've shown that they have talent, that they can prevail. While I'm not happy that the Avs are out, I think the Sabers are the best bet to win the Stanley.

I'm certainly not looking past the 'Canes...they're a very solid team that will give the Sabres a run yet. Look how they bounced back against Montreal...they're not going to roll over.

There have been articles in the Buffalo paper over the last few weeks about how badly the city needs the Cup. After all of the near misses for the Bills (including the infamous "Wide Right" field goal), Brett Hull's "No Goal" against the Sabres in the '99 finals, etc.

It's time to conquer the demons...
