OK...how about that ending to the Sabres-Sens game? I came from work to find it tied at 6 heading into overtime. Sounds like it was a crazy last two minutes of regulation.

So I settle in for the OT...and 18 seconds later my Sabres win after the Sens completely collapse just trying to bring the puck up ice. What a way to grab the series lead!

Go Sabres!

That was crazy.

I got home turned the TV on and saw it was 5-4 Ottawa with 2 minutes left in the third. I figured that game was most likely over at that. I kept the TV on came into the room a few minutes later and saw the 6-6 goal! I couldn't believe how many goals had been scored. And then 18 seconds into overtime. craaazy

The Avs had better find some offense soon. They can start by getting the puck across the Ducks' blue line once or twice.

I sure hope Brunette comes back. The avs are really gonna need him to win this series. Also he's my last player in the western conference :p

I was at the Sens game tonight, a friend at work got tickets in the second row, pretty awesome with the exception of it being too quiet. The game was high scoring, but aside from that pretty messy. Both goalies were bad, and the ending was just so extremely disappointing. Ottawa let that one go.

Gotta go on a brief rant here.....

As you can see by my screen name, I'm a San Jose Sharks fan and have a real problem with the way the NHL handles scheduling for the Western Conference team. Why in the name of all that's holy, did they shaft the Sharks (and Oilers for that matter) with Game 1 on Sunday afternoon and then Game 2 on Monday evening??!?! I realize the San Jose Arena was booked last night and there's an arena football game tonight, but the NHL needs to flex it's muscle a little bit and make some kind of change such as having the AFL game moved to Sunday.

Oh, and while Jagr is a spectacular player, there's no way he should win the Hart over Joe Thornton. Watching JT game after game made me realize just how much better he is than anyone else on the ice, and the way he lifted a team in 13th place at the time of his arrival to the number one seed in the second round of the playoffs is nothing short of a miracle. But, the east coast media bias will probably give the Hart to Jagr....

Thank you for letting me rant. :D

So much for the Devils' winning streak...Carolina is taking them to the woodshed. A thoroughly dominating performance so far...

They better enjoy it while it lasts. They won't get another rout like that.

Brodeur has a bad game from time to time, but he rarely (if ever) has two in a row ... or two in a series. Three of the Carolina goals were on shots that Brodeur simply mishandled.

Yeah, well, had the refs called that hit on Brunette the whole game would have been different. EVERYONE was looking at the refs like WTF?! and then the Ducks scored.

The Avs will pull through. I think in retaliation someone should put a knee into their goalie's mouth. :p I'm kidding, we're not Burtuzzi clones. :D

I agree, but that's the fault of the Colorado defense.

It should've been an interference call, but it was a clean hit.

What the heck happened in Anaheim?? I'm shocked that the Avs are down 2-0 after being shut out twice. I'd much rather see the Sharks play the Avs in Round 3 than the Ducks.

Was at the Sharks/Oilers last night and am seeing game 2 tonight. Man, there's nothing like playoff hockey, even if it was 80 degrees outside at game time. :)

Well, I think it's mix 1 part bad refs, 2 parts GIANT ****ING OGRE in goal, and 3 parts crappy play.

Godamn. They need to take games 3 and 4 back here. I'm going to game 4. I swear to God if that's the last game this season, I'm urinating on the ice.

I hear you on the refs. There were many, many calls that weren't made last night in SJ both for and against the Sharks.

I know the reffing was terrible. Goddamnit Kerry Fraser. How the **** is he still an NHL ref.

Sign this petition :D

McGoo is the worst ref by far.... I dunno, I probably spelled it wrong, but that fat bastard sucks. There was one game he was reffing, about a month ago for the Avs, where he and his other ref/linesman called SEVENTEEN penalties in the first period. SEVENTEEN split between both teams. Ridiculous. It's was Play 30 second of hockey, then penalty, 10 seconds of hockey, then penalty. I was like WTF ARE YOU DOING?!??!?!??!?!

Idno, I actually like Mick Mcgoo. He's on my list of top 5 refs. My top two favourite refs would have to be Paul Devorski, and Don Koharski.

Go Sabres!

That was an truly incredible end of a game. The team I like didn't do crap this season, but I love playoff hockey.

Way to go, Sabres! Outshot 44-17 and they still win the game! 2-0 series lead heading to Buffalo!

Hope Connolly will be ready to go for Game Three...

Okay...who's watching the Devils-Hurricanes game? Ridiculousness abounds in these playoffs.

That was so sweet! I can't believe how dumb that was of the NJ defender though. He should have done whatever the f*** he needed to, to keep staal away from the net. Take a holding penalty for christs sake there were 4 seconds left!

Canes win!!!!!!!!!!!!!... screw the devils :D
edit - why is it under review, their was no kicking motion... its a goal (well should be)
edit - 2 yay its a goal!!
can't wait for wends!
