Did anyone see that dirty ass hit right before the Oiler's blueline put on Malchavich (spell?) of the Sharks?! Laid him out and was purely a targeted hit. nasty. Should have been an interference call. Where the hell are these refs?

This happened right in front of us - refs totally missed it but what can you expect from Mr. McGoo! The Sharks got some revenge when McLaren hip checked Laraque into the boards a short while later.

Yeah...My wife nearly tried to jump through the TV after that hit - just infuriating that there was no call. It was fantastic to see Michalek (correct spelling :D) come back to the game, though.

I normally have a favorable opinion of McGeough's game-calling, but tonight, something was just not right... They're stopping play when Roloson didn't have the puck, not stopping it when Toskala did...who knows.

It was at best interference. It happens, it wasn't a malicious hit or anything though. Nothing to garner any future attention, collisions like that are a dime a dozen.

Did you not see the guy jump and ram his shoulder into the guy's head? You also defended Bertuzzi's attack. I got Lasik, I think you should too.

Yeah, the Sharks deserved that win. This is a strange year. All four top seeds out of the WC, all teams in the semi-finals are up 2 games to none. Strange...

It was *at least* interference...

I saw it on the highlights this morning. You're far too excitable.

I saw it live -- about 15 rows in front of me. If a guy gets clobbered like that when he doesn't have the puck, and is dripping blood all over the ice, then there needs to be something called, especially in Bettman's new "kinder and gentler" NHL.

Well, I got tickets at the last second last night for the Avs game. VIP Suite tickets (woo hoo), because I'm, you know, a VIP.;) Those suites are out of control. Awesome food, champagne, beer, cakes, whatever. All for free. Oh, and your very own crapper so you dont have to go pee with the common folk. Not bragging, I just didnt know those suites where quite like that. Never been in one before, but work gave me a couple tickets, so it was fun.

The game, however could have been a tad bit better. Totally exciting, but I didnt expect the Avs to get rolled in this series so easily. Down 3 - 0, this one is over. Darn it all to heck, I thought with the Wings and Dallas out, that the Avs had a legit chance. The joke is on me, I guess.

Don't remind me, I still ahve a hangover, and am exhausted. They're all but out. MAybe they'll be the third team in NHL history to come back from a 3-0 deficit? I know... too optimistic.

Right when I got the tickets, I thought of posting on here to see if anyone else was going to the game, but I didnt get the tickets until almost 5:00, and the game was at 6:00. Not much time to get there.

And by the way, why would the NHL schedule a game like that at 6:00? So not only do you have rush-hour traffic, but you also have game traffic. And not only is it early for the home team, but its really early for anyone in California to tune in to watch it. I realize its kinda late for the east coast, but its 2 western teams playing. A 7:00 or even 8:00 start would have been better, I think.

Oh yeah, I wouldnt hold my breath for that 4 -3 series win for the Avs. With the exception of last night, they have been totally dominated. I'll keep my fingers crossed and think happy thoughts, but the gillotine (sp?) is on its way down...

Because the NHL repeatedly gives preference to the Original Six (Boston, Detroit, NY Rangers, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago), East Coast and Canadian teams. The funny thing is that all of those six teams either didn't make or got knocked out of the playoffs in the first round. The East Coast bias in American sports is so pathetic -- but, I guess with time zones it's unavoidable. It's too bad though, because when people in New York go to bed, they're missing a much more exciting and fast-paced brand of hockey out West.

Your probably right, but you would think that someone, somewhere down the line would stop and think about what would make more sense. I wonder what the east coast ratings were for the game versus the mountain and west time zones. I guess they would rather hold to tradition than make money and maybe even earn new fans with a better time slot...

ChrisBrightwell, still feeling as (over)confident in your Devils? ;)
The 'Canes are cheating!!!

Seriously, though, I've not been able to watch the last three games. To say that I'm disappointed would certainly be an understatement.

"NA NA NA NA NA HEY HEY GOOOOD BYE...NA NA NANA HEY HEY GOOD BYE.."

hahahaha the devils suck... Carolina beat them at their own game! :D

I think the Sharks vs Canes will be the cup matchup, although the Sabres matchup well against the canes. All I want to say right now is lets go Bruins, you guys did great this year. Thnak god they got rid of M'OC

Well, I'm going to the Avs game tonight. If they lose it'll be the first time I've been to an Avs game and they've lost. I should have gone to game three instead. If they lose tonight, I might just have jump headfirst off the club level onto the ice and die...

Good luck -- am actually hoping Colorado slows down Anaheim. In an ideal world, the Avs win the next four and are so worn out that they can't get past the Sharks in the conference finals. :) Of course, after last night's triple overtime, the Sharks need a rest.

Have a good time tonight. I'm going to try to scam some tickets to this one too. If I get them, maybe I'll see you there.

GO AVS! Just dont get swept...

Well, unfortunately the wings I retrofitted onto my jersey didn't work as planned, instead I fell straight into the laps of three beautiful women with nice breasts and great hair and they took me back to their place and had their way will me all night.

Although I didn't start aup a group that heckled the refs.

"NICE CALL REF, YOU ****!"

"THANKS FOR LOOKING THE OTHER WAY YOU PAID OFF BASTARD!"

Yeah, I almost started a riot before plunging into the abyss of women... good times.
