  • At age 35, realized I still don't understand a damn thing about women;
  • Replaced the dead HDD in my PB G4, then sold it in anticipation of getting an iMac;
  • Biding my time at my company, hoping my plans of becoming basically debt-free in '08 don't go by the boards;
  • Helped a friend switch to Linux;
  • Became a MacRumors 6502 (yay!);
  • Got a really good wireless router (Buffalo WHR-HP-G54);
  • Got a writing partner for my BSG:TOS / '79 BR crossover multi-volume writing project;
  • Got a TARDIS 4 port USB hub;
  • Realized just to what extent my company is screwed up, and that it's just a matter of time before they either get themselves bought up, or run themselves into the ground;
  • Had my company's CEO get quit-fired, and got a new CEO (Bob Nardelli quit, replaced by Frank Blake).
 
-Had my first date
-Had my first kiss
-Started the infamous Ghall saga
-Got the Wii
-Bunch of other non important stuff happened.
 
Became very serious with my Apple knowledge
Joined MacRumors :)
Got my MacBook Pro
Got my iPhone
Discovered a bunch of great music
Made lots of good friends
Learned to play theremin
Became "someone" on the internet so-to-speak
Learned a lot about how the world works and how macs work
 
Became a Music lover.
Realized how poetry influenced rap and how aspects of it are used.
Tried my first Cigar
Tried my first Cigarette, which led to 3 more.
Hosted my own "kickback" with alcohol and got pretty buzzed
Fell for a girl, then was too late.
Fell for another, but she was taken
The year I decided to stop going for the...umm..how would I put this? Stopped going for less intelligent girls, and set expectations?
Was ranked 1 in my grade level for the first semester(But anyone else with a 4.0 shared it so I guess I wasn't the only one :()
Started to become more sarcastic with my teachers, yet maintain my intelligence :D although it seems to be dropping >.>
Turned 16 halfway through the year :D
 
-Missed my A aggregate by 1%
-Missed prefectship by the equivalent of 1
-Got rejected by at least 10 girls and never scored with any of them.
-Got involved in some awkward situations involving women.
-Still didn't receive my first kiss.
-Still didn't learn to drive although I'm eligible for license application in a month.

-Started attending church regularly and joined an awesome youth group.
-Got in touch with many old friends via the social phenomenon facebook
-Decided what to do in university (although I always knew, I finalised it)

And some unimportant material stuff:
-Got an iPod Touch, RAZR2 V8 and External HDD
-Fixed up my room.
-some other stuff that I cant think of.


All in all I've become more emotionally depressed this year and have begun to possibly get desperate about my situation with women. I hope I don't start the Ghall Saga II: Legend of the Advisor or anything...
 
In 2007 I

- Got my two best friends in the world.:)

- Bought my iBook G3

- Moved back to Texas from Arkansas

- Discovered I like Jazz

- Went to state with my school's marching band.

And finally...

-Admitted to myself that I'm addicted to MR.:eek:
 
2007 was the year I...

  • Fully understood that I'm not longer a kid
  • Found out who my true friends are
  • reached 6502 status here on MR
  • found out who the real me is
  • recieved my iMac... the best computer on the planet[
  • put another 15k miles on my Camry
  • realized once I leave for college how much I will miss my family and friends.
  • got the best job a 17 year old kid could ask for
 
In 2007 I...

  • did'n't get one proper kiss
  • i bought my first mac - a mac book :apple:
  • i lost my best friend to university life (as in she moved away)
  • i took my first holiday in france with the family
  • i got my 3 year no claims bonus
  • WOW took up far far too much of my time
  • i lost touch with friends i shouldn't of
  • i started checking MR everyday
  • didn't have sex :(
  • mentored some one for the first time
  • i fell out with my longest friend ever for the first time :(
  • set up my own server and learnt lots about networking
  • realised i need a g/f more than i firs thought!

- Ended a long-winded long-distance relationship.
- Ended a short, ignorantly played relationship.
- Lost my virginity
- Went to university
- Met some of the coolest & funniest people in the world who will likely remain very good friends for a long time to come
- Met an amazing girl who has no interest in me and I can't seem to accept that
- Visited Thailand
- Busked on the street for fun
- Performed for a lot of other people
- Blew my holiday money on Christmas presents for everyone
- Became much more independent, but realized that I have a long way to go before I can really take care of myself & get ahead all the while
- Realized that studying science in university is all about time-management, and realized: I'm not good at it.
 
2007
I spent all year working hard in US
realized that maybe its not what I wanna do rest of my life
slowly getting into middle age crisis
compensate by buying ton of electronic gear
spent way too much time in front of computer
still no 500 posts
decided to change my life for better or worse
realized that after a year of working 18/7, haven't made any friends and sit in front of computer in the Ney Years Eve instead of partying
Thats sad:(
 
- I got back into Apple computers.
- Purchased an array of Apple productions; iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, iPhone, etc.
- Joined the MacRumors community.
- Officially lived in Chicago for a year.
- Went into over a 3 year relationship with my significant other.
- Discovered an interest in indie and underground music.
- Started a personal blog.
- Got a new phone; Nokia N73.
- Transferred schools successfully.
- Finished my CNA program with flying colors.
- Many more accomplishments but the biggest is being able to live another year!
 
Hmmm.... 2007 was the year I:
- Turned 30 :(
- Saw the end of my first long-term relationship
- Decided to go back to school after eight years of work. I'll be attending the University of Edinburgh next fall, yay! :D
- Saw lots of younger friends and relatives got married, with the result that my friends and family keep asking me when I'm going to make the leap.
- Had a reasonably good year at work.
- My 12" Powerbook suddenly started suffering numerous problems after four years of flawless operation (worst being that the wi-fi stopped working), and made me realize I have to get a new notebook after MWSF 2008.
- Finally became a Macrumors "regular" after four long years.

All in all, quite an average and uneventful year (with the exception of point 2, which I still find myself thinking about often)...

- had a kiss that actually meant something
- had the biggest confusion i've ever had
- lost my grandfather (few weeks ago actually)

Not a lot of exiting things happened for me but...

-Graduated High School
-Switched to Macintosh
-Joined Tae Kwon-Do (I'm not in it anymore:()
-Shed myself of religion (never been happier)

In 2007 I.....

-Realized that I drink too much coffee and decided to do nothing about it.

-Still have not received the cost of living increase that was promised back in 2003.

-Got a new boss that helped me realized that i hate my job.

-Got a MBP

-Cried when I had to install Windows XP on said MBP

-Moved to a fancy one bedroom apartment in downtown

-Learned how to write my name in Arabic

-Completed the fall semester with a 4.0 (How?, I don't ficken know)

-saw my Apple stock sky rocket.

  • Got my CD 2.0 MB replaced with a C2D 2.16
