Sounds like it. I'm listening to it on FiveLive... and re: Hull having a bad time, not as bad as one as Spurs. ;)
It's not just challenges and stuff like that, there's a bit of squaring up going on between the players as well that the referee has (rightly) taken a bit of a dim view of.

And as for us, still plenty of time yet for us to continue our push for a European place. :D

If Chelsea win, hopefully in the 93rd minute with a penalty :D, the look on Alex Ferguson's face will be priceless, providing far more entertainment value for virtually everyone...

Not half as enjoyable as it would be to see Ashley Cole and John Terry throwing their expensive toys out their gold leaf prams if Chelsea lose it at the death.

Hmm... controversy over United's disallowed goal. Basically, it was barely kicked away from the corner and United acted as if they hadn't taken it, Giggs then jogged over and it looked as if he was going to take the corner then pinged it into the box for Ronaldo to score. the linesman then disallowed it, resulting in the familiar scene of United players remonstrating with officials. Bizarre.

Luckily the retaken corner went in from Vidic or Sir Alex might have imploded. :p

Not another welsh Man Utd supporter? At least I live in Chelsea. ;)

No more controversy. We've been hammered. Regardless of Mourinho's personal qualities, his record speaks for itself. Scolari needs to get a grip, but I don't mind giving him another season but things don't sound happy. At least there's always the UEFA cup. :D Drogba should have been let go at the beginning of the season, Anelka and Ballack are getting on a bit. Well-played Man Utd and thoroughly deserved by the end of it, by the sound of things.

Graham Taylor making points about rumours of lack of commitment and intensity of training... hmm.

How dare you cast such aspersions on my character! :D I'm a proper Welshman and prefer the noble egg-chasing game of rugby, although I do follow the footie - particularly Arsenal - on Match of the Day.

Whilst I'm certainly no fan of Man Utd, I've a special level of disdain reserved for Messrs. Cole and Terry, which takes precedent over all others.

Hopefully you'll feel like giving Match of the Day a miss next weekend – it's going to be an interesting game, though.

Watching the game on the telly, one thing that stuck out was the fact that some of the Chelsea players looked almost disinterested, and Drogba was the main villain in this regard. Whether it's down to unprofessional attitudes among some of the playing staff, poor man management on the part of Scolari or some combination thereof remains to be seen, but it's something that needs to be addressed sharpish.

He's done well for Chelsea in previous seasons but if Drogba has decided he wants to jump ship then it's best to let him go now and use the cash from his sale to bring some fresh talent in before the transfer window slams shut.

Drogba is a tremendously gifted footballer, but also a total baby. Having him and Le Sulk in the same squad must be bad luck. ;)

But they did shop Drogba around last summer and didn't get any good offers, if I recall. If Mourinho is seriously willing to pay for Drogba I'd pack his bags for him and drive him straight to the airport.

I'm afraid in the end I couldn't make it up to Hull - due to it being my 18th birthday weekend and me being busy in the pub and stuff

But it won't be an interesting game. Arsenal's last few have been reallly dull. I just hope we will have learnt from the previous game with Hull, because we really can't afford to drop anymore points.

Well, I hope you have a great weekend and being on the receiving end of another mauling doesn't spoil things too much for you. ;)

At least this match is on the telly so you'll be able to watch it in the pub while having drinks bought for you by wellwishers. As it's an early evening game, me and Miss Jaffa Cake are off out ourselves afterwards so we'll be sure to have a drink for you.

But it won't be an interesting game.
I mean interesting more from the point of view of seeing how the two teams respond to their recent form, and how the two managers approach it. I'm not expecting a classic by any means.

My concern is that, with Zayatte suspended and Gardner liable to still be injured, we're a bit low on options at centre back. That might mean McShane filling in there, which raises the nightmare possibility of Mendy at right back. If this happens, Arsene would be well advised to concentrate his team's play down their left flank. ;)

If that's the case, you may be lucky that Arsenal doesn't have any wingers.

I hope that United drop some point in the two matches they have in hand.

Hoping United will drop points is not a reliable way to win Premier League titles...but I hope that happens as well. Man U is going to mount a serious challenge this spring (as they always do). Hopefully Liverpool can keep it tight for the second half of the season.

Over the last 15 years that is how any team that has won the title has done it. Hoping United drop points.

I actually think they will drop some points and this we will get stronger in the second half of the season. We still have United to play, so it's all to play for.

I suppose the bottom line is you need to get as many points as possible, period. You can't control what you're rivals do, so you've got to put your heads down and grind out results. I can't wait for our next meeting with United. To beat them twice in one season would be great.

It's a disappointment, no doubt about it. Who would think they would go more than 180 minutes without scoring against Stoke? These draws are the kind of games you look back on and see four dropped points out of six possible...

Ah, come on! Are you honestly saying that you wouldn't like to see a certain C. Ronaldo at the bottom of a ruck? Especially if he was lying offside and had to er, 'encouraged' to remove himself from said position!

*Rubs hands together in glee!* :D

EDIT: How are you going to respond to my question if you're ignoring me? Bugger, I didn't think this through...

Hello, just a wee update from the provinces...
Nothing much going on up here, a very quiet transfer window. Boyd still hasn't gone to Birmingham and the two big teams haven't got any money to spend.

One interesting note is that MSPs want SPL teams to let kids in to see matches for free. Now it's time to come clean and admit that football isn't my primary sport, it's golf.:p For some years now the R&A have allowed free entry into The Open for kids (up to age 16) accompanied by an adult, or kids on their own if they write in advance. As a regular attender, there are always plenty of kids about and I think it really helps the grass roots of the sport. If St Mirren v Hamilton are playing to 3/4 empty stadiums then what have they got to loose? Might get themselves a few future season ticket holders or at least encourage them to kick the ball about a park.

Altogether now... when I was a lad... jumpers for goalposts :D

I am a keen golfer too and the problem the R&A have is getting kids into golf. Every 12 year-old kid wants to be a professional footballer. When (if) I have kids would I let him go to golf on his own, yes, would i let him go to a football match on his own, probably not. I go to watch Hull quite often with my brother who is 13 and some of the abuse being thrown our way (especially by the 'boro fans) was a disgrace.

I can't really see this idea working.
