Maybe he feels like he needs a new challenge? Or maybe he's a big fish and chip fan - I don't know. But if these reports are true then clearly there's something here that Fulham can't offer him.

One thing's for sure though, if he harbours any England ambitions after his recent inclusion in the squad he might as well forget it. There's no chance of a Tiger wearing the Three Lions at senior level...

Don't agree with that. I think Capello thinks very differently than his predecessors and is willing to look at all teams. Hence Bullard's inclusion despite being from one of the Prem's smaller clubs. Hull have done well this year despite the recent run of results and a few months ago were one of the talked about clubs..

Changes for Hull...Bullard is a solid player, I think that would be a boost for the Tigers. Interested to see if he'll get any more England call-ups. He's clearly on Capello's radar, even if he's down the pecking order a bit.

Update on Bullard.

I gather he has been in Hull for a medical. A fee (around £5m) has been agreed and personal terms can not be that far away. He would not travel all the way from London to Hull for a day out!

I think Hull could quite easily spend £10m on players in the transfer window, it's just the high wages for these quality players. IF Bullard is on £50k per week then it will raise a few questions in the dressing room I fear.

But if he can keep Fulham in the Premiership single handed then I hope he can do the same with Hull.

Well, there's a long way to go between agreeing a fee with the club and actually landing a player – there's medicals and contracts and stuff, of course. The local BBC station has reported he's in the city undergoing a medical this evening, though, if this is the case then it would suggest there hasn't been an issue over his personal terms... fingers crossed.

We really need a creative chap in midfield who can get quality balls through to Geo and the strikers, Bullard would certainly tick a lot of boxes...

Years of Tiger-based having my hopes cruelly dashed have taught me to be cautious, but I'm actually a little excited by this story. I must confess, there's always been something about Bullard that's irritated me a bit, something I can't quite put my finger on. But he's a cracking player, certainly for a team like us.

LOL, you English might think it was Bullard who kept Fulham up (and to be sure he more than played his part), but it was a yank, Clint Dempsey, who scored the goal that kept them up. Regrettably it was against Liverpool, but country over club for me so huzzah to that. Even if he is from Texas. ;)

Bullard was certainly in form for Fulham during a critical period last season though.

You're a season out of date....

You yanks, its always us, us, us! :p

I will go out on a limb and say, if Bullard had not not regained fitness then Fulham would have gone down. Simple.

Good move for Hull, if he passes his medical and signs. I wonder who Fulham are going to replace him with. Etuhu has been filling in for Bullard when he's been injured, and Etuhu is far from Premiership quality.

He certainly was a big part of it but so were McBride, Murphy and Kamara.

Liverpool takeover? To be honest I would welcome a takeover. The Americans promised big but delivered little. We need a new stadium in order to keep up with the likes of Man Utd. The spending power they have exhibited over the years is immense in comparision.

Steven Gerrard in court today. (will do well for my sport daq if nothing else )

Chelsea takeover, although I don't think that will go through especially if that idiot is in charge.

Looks like Heskey may be on the way out the JJB Stadium and the destination may be Villa.

For Villa, I think this is an excellent signing. He'll be the big target man for Ashley Young and Gabriel Agbonlahor to feed off.

As a Wigan fan, I'll be sad to see him go, but he was going to leave for free in the summer anyway, so may as well get a bit of cash for him.

I agree. I wish Hicks and Gillette had sold out to DIC - they would have been guaranteed a profit and in these economic times that's saying a lot.

The only problem is how the new buyers treat it all. The Man City story has been a circus so far and not good for the game one jot...

True. But the Hicks-Gillette ownership seems untenable...even if they win a title people will still be calling for new owners. Unfortunately many fans seem to make it a "Yanks Out" affair when in fact foreign ownership seems pretty unavoidable for the big four clubs. Arsenal is the only club not owned by a wealthy foreigner or foreigners, and how long will that last I wonder?

EDIT: Spurs scoring against United within five minutes. A good start for Harry.

Apparently not – the 2009 Scottish Grand Prix Subbuteo tournament kicked off today and my Hull City kit-toting Jaffatar™ has been inexplicably omitted from the England squad. Not even a call up to join the other youngsters in the Under-21 millimetre team. Shocking. :(

Believe it or not your Lordship, the whole of England breathed a huge sigh of relief when Spurs were knocked out of the Cup today. Had Harry's team made it to Wembley we'd be facing the horrific prospect of Spurs releasing another Chas n' Dave FA Cup Final song.

You might be shielded from such things in your Stateside stately home, but we're not quite so fortunate...

By the way, the draw for the Fifth Round takes place tomorrow at around 6.20pm. We're ball 3. :)

I phookin' hate millwall...

sad to see spurs exit but makes it easier to pull for the TIGERS!

Is SportDaq still going? I used to run a league in my old work then forgot all about it when I left. Is there a MacRumors league going?

Yes it is still going but as far as I am aware there is not MacRumors league (the only mention of it on a search is this thread).

I am only just getting in to in at the moment so learning the ropes as it were.
