Obviously we're not in the draw this time around, but when it is our turn to enter the competition we'll no doubt just enter our kids in it. ;)

Leigh's in Greater Manchester, so they're having to compete for supporters with some big teams – for one thing there's the two huge, world famous clubs in that part of the world, Manchester United and Stockport County.

Meanwhile, here's the shirt you get with your season pass...

It's fixture day tomorrow, up there with the day your team releases its squad numbers as the most exciting date on the footballing calendar. :)

Just hope your first game in the Premiership isn't as tough as ours was the first time we got promoted. It was "Welcome to the big boys league" with an away game at Arsenal.

We were discussing this at a family barbeque last night, actually (in between making fun of a Leeds United supporting uncle :D). We're anticipating a long away trip, so Portsmouth it'll probably be.

What a ridiculous end to the season for us.. they're telling us it's not fixed.. but we play Chelsea and United in the third last and second last games. Stupid.

Hull vs. Arsenal falls 2 days after my birthday :p

Hull's first game home to Fulham.. winnable.

Hull's last game home to United.. hhmm.

So, our first ever top flight fixture is a home tie against Fulham.

Meanwhile, the last match of the season sees us entertaining Manchester United at the KC. hopefully they'll have won/lost the title by this point, as we may need to get some points from that game.

Hmm... actually, our first three matches are Fulham, Blackburn and Wigan – hopefully we'll have a chance to get some points on the board from the opening games to give the boys a bit of confidence.

Dates of the 'big 4' matches:

Sat Sept 13: Liverpool - Man U
Sat Sept 20: Chelsea - Man U
Sat Oct 25: Chelsea - Liverpool
Sat Nov 8: Arsenal - Man U
Sat Nov 29: Chelsea - Arsenal
Sat Dec 20: Arsenal - Liverpool
Sat Jan 10: Man U - Chelsea
Sat Jan 31: Liverpool - Chelsea
Sat Mar 14: Man U - Liverpool
Sat Apr 18: Liverpool - Arsenal
Sat May 9: Arsenal - Chelsea
Sat May 16: Man U - Arsenal

Some interesting things to note:

1) Chelsea play the other 3 at home first, then play them all away.
2) Man U have to play Liverpool away then Chelsea away in consecutive weeks in September.
3) Man U - Arsenal is the penultimate weekend of the season.
