Well, the season has officially been over for a little while now, giving us time to reflect on our teams respective fortunes over the past year, be they good or bad. With that in mind, I've a few questions for you all – I've popped my own answers in there.

Which was your team's best performance this season?
The first half against Burnley at the KC – we were spectacularly ace. Our movement, our organisation, our finishing, everything – genuinely the best I've seen City play. Ever.

And which was your team's worst?
Away at Southampton. I wasn't there in person but I've seen footage and it should carry an 18 certificate.

Overall, who has been your team's best player?
I'm going to go with defender Michael Turner. A rock in our back four who's chipped in with some useful goals too. Add in his last gasp block to deny Bristol City an injury time equaliser in the play-off final and it's been a highly impressive season for him.

Which player have you seen who – realistically – you'd like your side to sign this summer?
Fraizer Campbell – at least another loan, please Sir Alex?

For those of you who attend matches, which is the best ground you've visited this season?
Wembley.

What was your most memorable moment of the season?
The final whistle at Wembley. We were present for a truly historic moment for our club and it was hugely emotional.

Overall, do you rate this season as being a success or failure for your side?A huge success. Despite being many people's pick as relegation candidates we equalled our best ever league position, visited Wembley for the first time ever, and earned promotion to the top flight for the first time to boot. None too shoddy. :)

A news report on the radio has said that David Beckham will be England captain for the next match. Who'd a thunk it, huh?

Well here you go. I'm a Boro fan in case you didn't guess :p

Which was your team's best performance this season?
Probably the game`me against Arsenal when we bit them 2-1 at the Riverside. While 8-1 against City was fantastic, Arsenal were THE form team in the Premiership at the time, and we played them off the park.

And which was your team's worst?
Cardiff City at home in the Fa Cup. Without a shadow of a doubt our best chance to win the FA Cup in years blown away by our worst performance in years. We even did the double over Pompey this season.

Overall, who has been your team's best player?
Stewart Downing. Top goalscorer, the sweetest left peg in the UK, wanted by Spurs and Liverpool and a Boro fan to boot. Should start more games for England - looks worse than he is because our strikers are rubbish at the moment. Honourable mention for David Wheater - Boro's answer to John Terry, wears his heart on his sleeve but with the footballing skills of Beckenbauer to quote Matt Le Tissier!

Which player have you seen who – realistically – you'd like your side to sign this summer?
Steve Sidwell/ A N E quick central midfielder. Frankly any of Pompey's central midfield would do as well - a bit of pace and strength would really push us forwards.

For those of you who attend matches, which is the best ground you've visited this season?
Stadium of Light! (Didn't watch any other games this season:eek:)

What was your most memorable moment of the season?
The Cardiff game. A truly gut-wrenching game of football. We were horrendous. Cardiff are not great, but we made 'em look like the bees knees.

Overall, do you rate this season as being a success or failure for your side?A 6 and 2 3s. A change in style (more pace up front) was left short changed by a lack of pace in midfield - something we WILL rectify. We undoubtedly need to improve in the centre of the park, but Tuncay and Alfonso Alves should be the answer. We spent less than other teams (Spurs!) and finished not far off them. Next year we could kick back into the top 10.

I'll play along... even though, as a Pompey fan, no-one in the world will give a toss...

Which was your team's best performance this season?
1-0 at Old Trafford, FA Cup Quarter Final. The stuff of legend.

And which was your team's worst?
Away at Everton. A bad period of form ruthlessly exposed.

Overall, who has been your team's best player?
David James.

Which player have you seen who – realistically – you'd like your side to sign this summer?
Benjani

For those of you who attend matches, which is the best ground you've visited this season?
...yeah. Well, there's always the Community Shield. ;)

What was your most memorable moment of the season?
The party in Southsea after the FA Cup victory.

Overall, do you rate this season as being a success or failure for your side? 8th in PRM, FA Cup winners, UEFA next season. I'm happy.

Which was your team's best performance this season?
The Champions League although we lost to our rivals.... who I still think had the Majority of the calls in the game.... we played great and dominated the 2nd half of the game, we got a bit unlucky but the pitch was horrible and we didn't have a coach who knew what he was doing.
And which was your team's worst?
The game that Heskey stole from us... those points would have given us the title.

Overall, who has been your team's best player?
Very hard to pick but I would say Essien but he wasn't played in positions where he could be fully used so I would have to say Ballack, he played clutch when we needed him down the stretch.

Which player have you seen who – realistically – you'd like your side to sign this summer?
Well, I think realistically we have many players to choose from but I think an attacking midfielder to replace Malouda, and a striker if Drogba leaves, I hope Gomis for Striker, and Villa or Quaresma for an attacking midfielder.

For those of you who attend matches, which is the best ground you've visited this season?
It will be a dream to watch Chelsea at the bridge but one day i will !

What was your most memorable moment of the season?
The victory over Man U at the end of our season to keep our title hopes alive.

Overall, do you rate this season as being a success or failure for your side?
We have no trophies to show for this season but overall losing our coach... at the start of the season it is very hard to recover from that and make the CL final, and get back into the title race and have an outside shot of winning the PL at the end, we did a good job. I think next season we will have atleast 2 tropies to show for at the end

COMEON YOU BLUES!@

Which was your team's best performance this season?
Hard to say, beating Spurs 4-1 was nice, but that was after their Carling cup win. Beating Man City 3-1 was also pretty sweet. But I think the best was the 2-2 draw with Arsenal. 88 minutes with ten men against the league leaders.

And which was your team's worst?
Where to start... 1-1 at home to Derby. 2-1 away to Huddersfield in the F A Cup. But the absolute worst performance was the 5-1 against villa.

Overall, who has been your team's best player?
Seb Larsson without question.

Which player have you seen who – realistically – you'd like your side to sign this summer?
Don't think we'll top Lee Carsley

For those of you who attend matches, which is the best ground you've visited this season?
Didn't get to any away matches this year.

What was your most memorable moment of the season?
Seb Larsson's winner against Spurs at White Hart Lane

Overall, do you rate this season as being a success or failure for your side?
An abject failure.

Which was your team's best performance this season?
A hard choice between 1-0 down at half time against Leeds or 2-0 down at half time against Port Vale. Both at home, beat Leeds 3-1 and ended up beating Port Vale 3-2. I'll have to go for Leeds. That, or even possibly the first leg play off semi against Leeds at Elland Road.

And which was your team's worst?
Loosing 3-0 at Millwall. I travelled for 8 hours and it was the worst I've ever seen.

Overall, who has been your team's best player?
Danny Livesey - Centre half and general legend. Would have been Joey Garney, but he's hurt himself and won't play again till xmas.

Which player have you seen who – realistically – you'd like your side to sign this summer?
I'll be happy if we can keep a hold of Keiran Westwood.

For those of you who attend matches, which is the best ground you've visited this season?
The City Ground, Nottingham.

What was your most memorable moment of the season?
Beating Leeds after being 0-1 down at half time.

Overall, do you rate this season as being a success or failure for your side?
Indifferent. We should have been promoted when it was in our own hands and we blew it. More a success than a failure though but a disappointing end.

Which was your team's best performance this season?
It's between the 6-0 at Man City and the 2-1 at Man U. Then again the Hull game was good :D

And which was your team's worst?
Barnsley in the FA Cup, they just didn't care. Malouda, among many others, should have been applauded with a gunshot to the head.

Overall, who has been your team's best player?
Pizarro..Malouda.. Shevva.. ;) Essien or Joe Cole, probably. Had Ballack started the season in the form in which he ended it, most likely him.

Which player have you seen who – realistically – you'd like your side to sign this summer?
I'd like David Bentley and I'd like SWP to go the opposite direction, being an England fan. There he can improve, it's win-win. I'd also like us to play Ivanovic and Alex more; he's a beast.

For those of you who attend matches, which is the best ground you've visited this season?
Wembley.

What was your most memorable moment of the season?
Losing out to the Croats.

Overall, do you rate this season as being a success or failure for your side?
Stalemate, success if we appoint Steve Clarke.

Which was your team's best performance this season?
Easy, AC Milan away in the San Siro. Brilliant.

And which was your team's worst?
Hard. Perhaps away at United when we lost 4-0, perhaps away at Spurs losing 5-1.

Overall, who has been your team's best player?
Gael Clichy, or Cesc Fabregas. I'll go with Gael as he is never given credit he deserves, absolutely brilliant full back, and always gives everything. Makes a real difference to us.

Which player have you seen who – realistically – you'd like your side to sign this summer?
Who knows. We never sign anyone I have seen much of before! Ben Arfa would be good. I would really like us to sign Micah Richards, but I don't see it happening.

For those of you who attend matches, which is the best ground you've visited this season?
Probably the Emirates. I guess Old Trafford if I'm not allowed to say Emirates

What was your most memorable moment of the season?
Losing at Anfield in the Champions League, should have been in the semi's. After the goal to make it 2-2, that was heartbreaking.

Overall, do you rate this season as being a success or failure for your side?
Progress was made, it was a success if you take a step back and look at how everyone thought we'd do at the start of the season - I think that's fair to say. But hugely disappointing - we should have gone further in the CL, and should have won the Premiership, really.

Which was your team's best performance this season?
Beating Inter Milan in the Champions League. Quality European football.

And which was your team's worst?
Take your pick from a few...We played very poorly in our loss against Besiktas in the Champions League, a team we came back to crush 8-0. Losing to Barnsley in the FA cup was also the result of some very bad play. You could also take our performance against the other big three teams as a collective "worst performance".

Overall, who has been your team's best player?
Fernando Torres, hands down. Best striker in the Premier league by a good margin IMHO. He's big, fast, technically skilled, and has excellent finishing ability. Without his services, this past season would have been outright embarrassing.

Which player have you seen who – realistically – you'd like your side to sign this summer?
Benitez seems intent on employing Gerrard as part of the strikeforce just behind Torres, but I think we could use another top striker - David Villa perhaps?. We also need another quality defender. Since Crouchy seems on his way out anyway perhaps we could swap him for a decent defender like Richard Dunne...I'm not sure whether we need another midfielder, but if Xabi Alonso does leave maybe David Bentley would be a good signing.

For those of you who attend matches, which is the best ground you've visited this season?
Someday perhaps...:(

What was your most memorable moment of the season?
From a club standpoint, getting dumped out of the Champions League pretty much defined this frustrating campaign.

Overall, do you rate this season as being a success or failure for your side?

A flat failure. A few bright spots - Torres is our future, Kuyt seems to have found a useful place on the wings, Skrtel is a good addition to the squad.

But overall Benitez and the team failed to bring home any silverware, and United's winning a double rubbishes Rafa's rotation strategy to a certain extent. We need to mount a serious challenge next season for the league title. Period, end of story. I don't demand that we win necessarily, but we need to at least be serious contenders till the last day, like Chelski was this season.

Finally, there's the ownership situation. It is unacceptable and I won't go on about it any further except to say that it is already damaging our football and must be sorted out by the start of the next campaign - otherwise you can write off Liverpool for 2008-2009.

I'm going too, if only so I can justifiably complain about how poor we were. ;)

I'm predicting a good performance, the U21s have always looked good when I've seen them, hopefully it'll be a team influenced by them and Beckham being captain should take some of the pressure off.

Ever the optimist!
I prefer the term 'realist' myself! Hopefully we'll get a better result than your boys did against the Dutch – I'm not having a dig or anything, you've got a Tiger or two in your team at the moment so I'm hoping you'll do well. ;)

Meanwhile, I'm slightly amused by the images Sky Sports News are showing this evening of people camping outside the KC ticket office to secure themselves a season pass for our first ever top flight campaign – the tickets go back on sale from tomorrow morning.

See, season passes went on sale from the 3rd of March, but were suspended a fortnight or so ago to allow the ticket office to concentrate on selling Wembley tickets. Therefore, the only people likely to be camping out tonight are those who couldn't be arsed with buying a ticket in the two-and-a-half months they were freely available, but have suddenly decided they need one now that they know for certain that we'll be entertaining the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool et al next season.

Is it too much to hope for a freak June snowfall this evening? :D

2-0 in Rotterdam is a result... well obviously, but you know what I mean! :D

I have a bottle of lager in the fridge and I've reserved the seat in front of the TV for tonight. Here's hoping it's going to be an enjoyable match.

Why the hell have I stayed up to see Defoe playing crap.

Barry having a good un' not good news for Villa fans as he seems to be playing well with Gerrard.
