hey is the race at
7:30 am sunday (i think this is pst)
5:00 am sunday (f1 web site)
4:30 am (speed website)
7:30AM EDT/4:30AM PDT
That's for pre-race, race usually starts on the hour.
hey does anyone do the timing stats from the f1 website during the race?
i signed up for it last time, but the race was broadcast 3 hours after it happened.

I use it if:
  1. I'm awake
  2. It's live
  3. I feel like bringing my laptop to a TV
It's pretty cool, especially when one driver starts stringing some quick laps together and all their sector times go purple. :D

The Hungarian GP was insane! First Hamilton, in second, gets a flat .... then Massa, in first, blows his engine three laps before the finish line! And if that isn't enough craziness, Kovalainin wins first and Timo Glock finishes second !!!! I think the only part of this race that was normal and made sense was that Kimi finished in a podium spot.

Oh, and the refueling hoses that kept catching on fire!!!

-Since Massa never finished (DNF), McLaren received more constructor points than Ferrari at this race, so I'm sure Ron Dennis was happy, but I'm sure he much would have preferred a one-two finish. Did they ever say the reason for why Lewis's tire blew?

Seriously??

Didn't watch it, but that would be hard on the pit crew.

No wonder they wear Nomex too.

Something wrong there. Static charges, maybe??

ya it happened twice on the same car
and like three other times on different cars.
this raced sucked:mad::(
i do not know how massa did not throw his helmet against the ground as hard as possible.

o hamiltons tire just was a fluke
really randomly happened, saw video of it too, it was on a straight away,

I don't know if they are at all circuits and pit garages, but most circuits have metal strips in the pit box to discharge any static buildup on the cars to avoid sparking during refueling. Perhaps the Hungaroring doesn't have these, or the problem was caused by something else?

If it was heat related, why didn't we see something similar at Turkey or Bahrain?

Weird!

the online commentator @F1.com said it was heat... who knows.

hungary is, quite often - not always, a good place for first time winners and the odd finish. i love hungary...

except for the fact that jarno really was off pace. timo had a good day. to bad i'm not a fan of his.

There has been rumblings of somebody leaving Honda. On the one hand I'd think Jenson due to iffy performance, but I feel like that mostly falls on the car. Likewise, Barrichello is doing fairly well with the car, but is getting on in years. I'd expect they could get more out of Button in the long run though.

I'm astonished at how strong Felipe's race was. Which makes his engine failure that much more painful.

As for Hamilton saying that Massa will never pass him again, the kid has talent but he needs to shut up.
