he was being facetious. so was i. apropos means appropriate or fitting.

and we weren't talking about massa. that was in reference to MOFS avatar.

what happened to felipe is a crying shame. he was the class of the field. he and glock were very impressive.

No you meant POS :p

I hate the summer break. :(

Have we even had a back-to-back race yet?

Still over 2 weeks till the next race. *sighs*.

Stewards decision after the race? WTF?

Oh and well done Kimi:rolleyes:

Bloody Ferrari.

EDIT: One out, one to go.

Standard Ferrari International Assistance response I'm afraid. It really is a sport with no integrity these days. :(

Oh I know.
I bet Massa keeps the win and gets a 10 place penalty in Spa.

EDIT: Just wait for the Ferrari fanboys to come along and defend them...

EDIT 2: He backed off?
"Silly incident" imagine if someone had released into the path of a Ferrari!!

Just remember if it wasn't for a disgruntled Ferrari employee McLaren wouldn't have had the documents in the first place.

And yet somehow, despite having broken the rules themselves (providing the information is against the rules) they received no penalty whatsoever. How very strange.

But this isn't about issues that have been dealt with in the past, this is about issues here and now: dangerous releases.

Why did they get rid of the lolly pop man??

Just saw the replay of Raikkonen and he went on the yellow, trying to jump the green.

On just seeing the replay of Massa an Sutil I think Massa might be lucky, it was close. They are lucky they have that extra space being that they are at the end of the pit lane. If it had been else where on the pit lane it might of been a horrible accident.

Are you seriously suggesting that ferrari should have been penalized for McLaren using their data?

It saves them a few tenths on the release, when there isn't another car there.

I think he just forgot to put the brakes on when he put it in gear on the yellow.

Really?

I think he was trying to get out in front of Kovalainen and jumped the lights.

EDIT: Thinking about it, I like your reasoning better. It makes Kimi look more of an idiot. :)

I'm suggesting they should have been penalised for a member of their team breaking the rules by sending data to a competing team. Otherwise what is to stop McLaren sending their data to Ferrari and then having them striped of all championship points for a year?

And I take issue with "using their data". McLaren were proved to have not used it in the FIA "court".

Of course if the employee who provided the data was sacked at the time the incident was reported no charges can be brought against the team.

Now how long was it between Nigel Stepney being sacked and Ferrari accusing McLaren?

You need to read about this some more. McLaren was initially found to be in possession of the data, but that they didn't use it. There wasn't any penalty at that time. Later, thanks to some emails supplied to the FIA, some of which were Alonso and de la Rosa talking with Coughlan and getting very specific answers. After this, the FIA fined them the $100m and docked all their championship points.
