There are a lot of really good players this year, and nobody seems to be head and shoulders above the rest. It'll be interesting how the Heisman shakes down.

I don't think McCoy or Tebow deserve it.

I think this will be the year of the RB.

It's fun having Boise State QB Kellen Moore in all the talk, especially since he's just a sophomore. I don't expect him to be invited to New York, but it's still fun having him in the discussion. He's a really good quarterback, and not just a guy that puts up big numbers because he throws the ball 500 times in a game (Brennan, Keenum).

Let the Oregon v Arizona game go down as an example that it is NOT a good idea to start rushing the field when there is a minute left, your opponent has the ball, and you're only up by a touchdown.

They really did that? DOH!

Well, they weren't exactly on the field, but P-Worm's right. They were starting to cram the railings all around the stadium getting ready to celebrate. That's what made the game so awesome. Heh heh.

Yeah, Charlie Weis is definitely gone, and Notre Dame won't return to any sort of relevance for at least two, maybe three more years. I think Clausen and Tate will be going in to the draft after the season. They have nothing to stick around for. I think Notre Dame will have a losing season next year.

Can't believe I haven't posted in this thread yet this year! It's great living in the state of Ohio this year. Having two strong teams in Ohio State and Cincinnati! Honestly the two games Ohio State lost were just bad losses. USC the way it was going could had gone either way and Ohio State had them for most the game. Purdue was just sloppy. This year I believe Cincinnati could crush Ohio State with the way they've been playing! I still believe they deserve to play for a BCS title and could beat Florida. Alabama, Texas, and TCU would be a fight though. :)

who has Cincinnati played?

osu would man handle cincinnati

Lucky us that Ohio State and Cincinnati have a common opponent this year with Illinois. Yes they suck this year but who cares! Ohio State beat them 30-0 so let's see how many points Tony Pike can put up on them!

Colt is having a good game, which is a good thing because our defense apparently decided to take the night off.

eh. ohio state played them in their big10 opener, 4th week of the season. A lot has changed over the past 9 weeks or so

I saw your original post about the Big 12, and can't really refute it. I'd love to talk up our D, but today's game pretty much forces me to keep my mouth shut. We'll see what happens later in the season. :(

i deleted it because i didn't want to get everyone all angry by saying something bad about the big12 lol. but yes, defense isn't a strong suit for the big12

No reason to get angry - you're right. If our D plays like this against a team like Alabama or Florida, we'll be humiliated.

After watching the Texas game, I am more convinced than ever that TCU deserves to be in the title game.

Like I said before - I can't argue with you. I'm hesitant to throw the entire season out because of one rivalry game, but hopefully this will be a wake up call to our defense.

That must have been a hard game to watch as a Texas fan. At least they pulled out a victory, albeit an ugly one. But a win is a win and Tecas will have their shot to prove to all the doubters (like me) in the championship game.

It was definitely hard to watch.

if they beat nebraska.

if texas manages to blow the nebraska game, and the florida/bama SECCG is close, rematch in the national championship?

I don't think we'll blow the Big 12 title game. Our defense has something to prove, and I bet they'll come out focused. But if the unthinkable happens, I hope the pollsters have the sense to ensure that TCU ends up there in our place.

Yeah but Texas has had a lot of games that they struggled to win that should of been a blow out. They have had a lot of very ugly wins this year.

I wouldn't say we struggled in a lot of games. OU was a struggle and A&M and Tech were both closer than they should have been, but no team in the country has gone through their schedule without some close games.

Some close game yes but still. A&M, Tech and OU should of all be blow outs not close games. A&M came way to close to pulling off an upset for my taste.

Two of the close ones were rivalry games, and I've been a Longhorn long enough to know that you can never expect a blowout (especially at Kyle during a tribute game to the bonfire collapse) in those situations. But *how* the A&M game was close - by our defensive collapse - now that bothers me. I wouldn't have thought twice about a 24-14 win.
