BRAWN GP CONFIRMS THREE-YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH SWISS FX BROKER, M I G INVESTMENTS

Brawn GP is pleased to announce a new three-year partnership with successful foreign exchange trading company, M I G Investments. Based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, M I G Investments is a leading Swiss Forex broker founded and managed by the Mansour family. The company has experienced strong growth since its foundation in 2003, with 70 employees providing specialised FX services to clients in over 120 countries. In December 2008, M I G Investments submitted its application for a Swiss banking license.

M I G Investments’ branding will appear from today on the front wing and nose of Brawn GP’s championship-leading BGP 001 car as it takes to the track for the first of the practice sessions ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix which takes place this weekend at the Shanghai International Circuit. The M I G Investments logo will feature on the racesuits of drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, and on the overalls of the Brawn GP race team, from the Spanish Grand Prix in May. Ross Brawn, Team Principal at Brawn GP said: “We are delighted to welcome M I G Investments to Formula One and to the Brawn GP team. Our team has had a great start to the 2009 Formula One season and we are very pleased to have secured our third new
partnership. In a difficult economic climate, it is a positive sign that the appeal of Formula One continues to attract new companies to invest in our sport. We look forward to working closely with M I G Investments to help drive global awareness of their brand through the powerful communications platform of Formula One.”

Anyone else up?

Red Bull!!

Nice job guys!

Hmm ... RBR fastest in Q2 and Q3 - will be interesting to see what the fuel is for tomorrow, tho' you gotta put them toe to toe with Brawn atm.

EDIT: Seems like Vettel is light - but not as light as Alonso! Hamilton heaviest car in the top ten - sterling work!

1. Vettel 644.0kg
2. Alonso 637.0kg
3. Webber 646.5kg
4. Barichello 661.0kg
5. Button 659.0kg
6. Trulli 664.5kg
7. Rosberg 650.5kg
8. Raikkonen 673.5kg
9. Hamilton 679.0kg
10. Buemi 673.0kg
11. Heidfeld 679.0kg
12. Kovalainen 697.0kg
13. Massa 690.0kg
14. Glock 652.0kg
15. Nakajima 682.7kg
16. Bourdais 690.0kg
17. Piquet 697.9kg
18. Kubica 659.0kg
19. Sutil 648.0kg
20. Fisichella 679.5kg

He'll have to with such little fuel...

EDIT: Having seen the weather, Fred may have a chance...

Is Mike Gascoyne a permanent replacement for EJ? Good call if it is.

Rain is interesting. In some ways it helps Alonso and RBR (no stints on the soft tyre) but the Brawn seemed pretty decent in the wet.

Anyone for 3/3 (safety cars and JB?:p)

Mike is there for this week only.

The Brawns are bloody good in the wet considering they had no wet testing.

I can see a large 1st corner incident if they don't start under the safety car...

So looks like I was right about Alonso running very light. Rain could make things very interesting. Depending on if/when the SC gets deployed it could really mess with those who've gambled on strategy. Big fuel starting fuel loads could be helpful here by allowing some play in the strategy.

Lewis could be in a good position. Great in the wet, heavy fuel load, and KERS going too - could be an interesting prospect.

The big questions are how many laps corners will Kovalainen manage?

And which wall will Kimi choose?

:D

BTW very chummy DC and Brundle (should be considering Martin's DC's agent). Looks like Brundle has p'ed someone off. Either that or he's using DC as leverage to talk to the Red Bulls.

[side issue/] one thing that slightly irks me of the BBC presentation is the closer relationship with the teams, particularly DC's with RBR, and the Force India bits in Australia. I don't mind being chummy around the race, but IMHO we do seem to be getting a somewhat RBR-orientated presentation (sorry Spook).

I've not really noticed. At least it's not the 100% Hamilton coverage we had for the last 2 seasons from The Cock.

EDIT: I guess the "Predicted First Stop" graphic was done before the rain...

Well RBR are on Pole so have "earned" some extra coverage. If Ferrari or McLaren turned round to the BBC and offered them interviews etc then they would almost certainly get the same...

Seems like it was.

Re: the Cock (how does that get past profanity? silly Yanks :p) - has Flavio usurped James Allen's crown following recent comments?

EDIT: Safety car start!

I can't see the problem...

EDIT: I'm really beginning to suspect Bernie has organised these races to pretty much guarantee rain...

Wet races, everyone loves them but we normally only get 1-2 per season. Now we have 2 in the first 3 races!

I am liking the BBC coverage. A few things do annoy me though. Has anyone watched the free practice on Friday via the BBC website? they have the 5-live commentator and the team manager from Force India. In every session so far this season I have heard him bitching about how Force India can't compete with the big teams as they only have 250 people as apposed to the 500 at Toyota. If you don't like it leave and go work for another team!

All what is the 'bulldog' doing there? If he has to be there at least get him a bloody box to stand on!

Anyway lets hope we have a good race.

EDIT: Nearly had a smash there with the Force India.

And what is it with Massa on the radio! In Malaysia we had him bitching when the race stopped, and now he is reminded of the rules of the safety car and he needs reminding to heat his brakes. Is he as stupid as this pit radio is making him sound!

Remember Button falling off the track on the formation lap years back?

Awww, poor Kimi. He missed the wall... :D

I remember DC doing it back in the Williams years ago - twice in consecutive races?

This is a bit silly. As Brundle says, they should be racing now. 45 minutes of SC is silly, especially if the race ends in 75 minutes.

EDIT: SC in this lap.

EDIT EDIT: Please BRawn double team on Webber!
