Balls, I've got my pit strategy wrong. Need the loo...

:D

I took an early pit stop. Risky strategy but ...

Lewis looks good again. Right on Trulli's tail.

R. Youden/ Spook - do teams like the rain? As a spectacle it's more interesting, but do teams appreciate the challenge?

I don't think we had a wet race whilst I was at Honda, not sure. But on the whole teams hate wet weather. OK you may get a great result for a team who is normally down the grid, but you have to be on the ball all the time and react to the track / safety car / traffic. Also these cars are not designed to work in wet conditions. You put all your effort into setting your car up for the dry and designing strategies for the whole weekend, just for them to go flying out the window.

Obviously BMW asked Kubica if he could get a good look at the Toyota diffuser but he took it too literally.

Looked like they were trying to breed. A BMW/Toyota hybrid?

Maybe he forgot that the car in front of you is a Toyota.:p

EDIT: It seems Red Bulls 1-2. I feel a wee bit sorry for Jenson - I think the RBRs are slightly quicker in the wet but from a potential 30 points from the first 3, he's gonna get at most 21.

Yup.

Just seen the fastest laps. Barrichello fastest - it's interesting to think how different this race would've been if the Brawns had made the front. Visibility is key.

Rubens' fast lap was 12 laps ago

EDIT: YAY Red Bull!!!
:)

Did anyone else watch the Chinese Grand Prix and see that the BMW Sauber pit crew put the front nose assembly on Kubica's car crooked?:D

A good race and congrats to RBR for their first pole and win.

While I normally love wet races, I was disappointed to see rain when the coverage started on SPEED because I was really looking forward to seeing how fuel and tire strategy would play out, considering how many teams were having serious issues with blistering and graining (sic) on the super-soft drys after only a handful of laps. Then again, the Brawns looked to be some of the kindest so if it had been dry, I expect JB would be celebrating win #4 instead of #2 for SV. Also very disappointed for Sutil. He was robbed of points at Monaco because of Kimi and I looked forward to Force India getting in the points.

With the conditions, it was pretty close to a foregone conclusion who would do well and who wouldn't, though the RBR's performance vis-a-vis Brawn was massively impressive since fuel weights were not a factor, as Button's RD suggested.

That was a good weekend. 15 more of them would be nice.

I can't wait until we've got all the new parts on the car: a weekend like that without a diffuser etc is just brilliant.

As to whether or not teams like the rain; the electronics departments certainly don't :p. It's a good equaliser though, and having a decent chassis and mechanical grip in the wet makes up for our current downforce deficit.

forgot to comment. watched the race replay last night and ive gotta say that Vettel, Webber and the Red Bull race team did an exceptional job to get poll and race around the wet aquaplane prone track to win.

Go Webber! youll win one soon mate hopefully in Bahrain.
