That was a good weekend. 15 more of them would be nice.

I can't wait until we've got all the new parts on the car: a weekend like that without a diffuser etc is just brilliant.

As to whether or not teams like the rain; the electronics departments certainly don't :p. It's a good equaliser though, and having a decent chassis and mechanical grip in the wet makes up for our current downforce deficit.

If you think that rain is bad on your cars, we ran an F1 car on the Bonneville salt flats, salt and electronics don't mix at all.

Bonneville 400

Just watched the highlights on BBC iplayer, very good race, wish I didn't keep on missing the live event.

Well done to Vettel and Webber.
All the cars seem to have improved apart from the Ferraris.

BMW's haven't improved at all. I think they've gone backwards!

Rosberg fastest in practise, but that's not unusual given how Williams like to run light on Fridays.

4th and 5th for Red Bull, again not unusual on a Friday.

I was hoping Timo could stay #1 with Jarno #2 (since Jarno has poles and wins), but this has proved to be a really interesting year. Brawn, Red Bull Racing and now Toyota all scoring their maiden poles. Now hopefully Timo can bring home their maiden win (again, nothing against Jarno, but he has a win and it was at the most important track - Monaco).

;) I love Jarno and do not care in the least for timo. Not a big Toyota fan either.
And it is Toyota's second pole. The first was also by Janro Trulli in the 2OO5 U.S GP. That was the race that had only 6 cars(3 teams:Ferrari,Jordan,Minardi) running because of a tire dispute between the remaining(read withdrawn) teams and the FIA.

But either way both Jarno and timo are light on fuel will stop while Vettel will be out a little longer and should be able to build a good lead. Spookthehamster is probably going to be beside himself today. ;)

This is bad news for Vettel - if Hamilton starts to slow down, then he could hold the pack up, tho' his pace is ok atm.

As long as his car doesn't overheat. The Toyotas are two stopping.

EDIT: He's ended up in front of Trulli in the stop. Vettel's stop will be crucial

button does seem to be sitting pretty. maybe a podium for my boy jarno...
according to F1.com live timing clock may have an issue...
