After reading the whole announcement, I have to say this is the worst idea ever created in any sport ever. A co-worker came to a very simple conclusion

If teammates get picked to play against each other, they wont even touch one another-it will literally be a no-check, no crease battles, kind of game. The draft is the worst part-though the superskills part being neutered is pretty bad as well.

Yep..... we've lost 7 in a row, with a couple of OT losses in there. So we got a couple of points during this stretch. Yay:rolleyes: I think Ron Wilson has pretty much worn out his welcome...... but then again, he hasn't been given much of a team to work with.

However, the Isles have 8 "pure" losses in a row. You guys trying for another 1st rounder or somethin'? I watched some of the game last night, it wasn't pretty.

Ha..... pretty true. They used to be so much fun to watch in the Gretzky/Lemieux days though.

One solution to the "teammates against each other" problem is that if you were to choose a player whose team has multiple representatives at the game, you have to take all of the other players from that team. Won't happen though.

Burke and Lamoriello probably weren't paying attention to the presentation. They have more to worry about than a useless All Star game. The All Star game is over.... no one cares except for the league head office because it's a great corporate money maker for them.

Funny thing..... I was watching the Leafs/Canucks game on HNIC on Saturday night, and during the second intermission Hot Stove segment, one of the analysts suggested that all the players throw their sticks onto center ice and have the captains pick the sticks for All Star team selections.......:p

The Flyers are legit. Holmgren is doing a great job with his signings. Players are signing for less than they could get elsewhere..... the culture in Philly has changed significantly. I think you have Pronger to thank for that.

Now if only they could stop it with the cheapshots.......:p


TDD: he was absolutely the fall guy. Wtf does he have to work with? It's hardly his fault.

What is everyone's thoughts on the Colin Campbell allegations? Personally, I don't think anything will happen-especially when we are talking about a high-profile league executive that has some pretty good friends in very high places(Board of governors, Bettman) who won't let a leaked email exchange make them question his ability.
 
Nice comeback by the Leafs lastnight :cool: In the meantime Cary Price shuts down my boyz stopping all 41 shots :eek: That's all right cause will get them in our house on Monday. :D

Yeah, nothing will happen. The only people that seem to care about this are the fans. When has the NHL ever done something that we're concerned with?;)

All the parties that matter- the league office, the owners, the GMs, the players, the agents- they all like Colie and think he's doing a good job. The hockey media don't seem overly concerned about it either.

This will blow over.....


Leafs game was wild last night. Good on them for coming back, but they really need to look inward and figure out why they didn't show up for the first period last night.

The Flyers/Bolts game the other night was crazy. 15 goals ouch:eek: Defensive breakdowns killed my boyz:eek: You can't leave Stamkos wide open at the circle:rolleyes: He will beat you every time. He's got a cannon for a shot:DI love this kid.

And Surely so far the Flyers have failed the test...:rolleyes:
 
went to the Bruins/Panthers and Bruins/Devils games this past week. :D Lucic had a hat trick in the Panthers game, and scored goals 2 and 3 15 seconds apart. definitely one of the best non-playoff games i've ever been to :D
 
RIP Burns. Sucked that he had to deal with such an awful thing.

I want to know what Burke was thinking giving away those two first rounders for Kessel. Boston has a chance to make the playoffs, AND get a Couturier, Larsson, or Hopkins.

And I have to say that Jack Edwards and Mike Milbury are f'ng tools, as well the producer who decided to make a segment about the Panthers moving to Quebec. I think its absolutely wrong that commentators of an NHL team talk about another team needing to leave. Tallon went to talk to Edwards after he heard those comments. I would have loved to hear that conversation, and whether or not Edwards had to change his panties after.
 
RIP Burnsy. I watched tonight's HNIC. Don's tribute to him in Coach's Corner was rather touching. So was the tribute video in Montreal before the game tonight. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't get inducted into the Hall of Fame next year. (I still think he should've been inducted this year).
 
Big game tonight against the Hab's. Time for some pay back in our house;) Will see what PK Suban brings tonight:p. I think Suban and Mike Richards drop the gloves early. If not Pronger will take care of that punk-ass kid.:cool:
