GO HOKIES!!! :D

Two more wins should pop you back in to the top 25. Take the ACC and you very well might find yourselves back in the top 15!

That would be fantastic. :)

Just my opinion, but I don't think an FBS team that loses to an FCS team should ever be ranked again that season...no matter what.

Hey Tomorrow...do you guys have a transvestite cheerleader? What the heck is going on up in Norman?!?

I agree on the rankings. The thing is, VT will now probably steamroll the rest of the pathetic ACC and win the conference again. Then tend to have one or two of those WTF?? games every year, then wake up and get on a roll.

BTW, that's no cheerleader, that's a MAN, baby! YEAH!

I saw that on Twitter from some Longhorn *p'tooie* spewing sour grapes. I really wanted it to be 'shopped, but...oh hell, I have no idea what that's all about.:eek:

EDIT: Evidently there's a lot of buzz on the 'net about this cheerleader. I found some other pictures of her...take a look.

Ok, ok, she's a little "rough" around the edges. So what!!!!

You think you guys will be an Adonis down the road??

I like that she has the guts to want to do this at her apparent age.

Just a thought, but maybe that *is* Tomorrow! :p

You think you guys will be an Adonis down the road??

No, but I'm not parading myself around in a cheerleading outfit either. I have the common decency to only dress up in women's clothing at home.

Ha ha ha ha!

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in the history of these threads!

You guys kill me. :D

....and Ignatius, don't be so hard on 'em. Blame their idiotic AD (and subsequently Beamer) for scheduling a game four days after the biggest game of the opening weekend.

That game should have NEVER been played. We made the following week our bye week, which is what Va. Tech should have done.

Give them at least a full week to prepare and recover and that James Madison loss never happens.

not that this should excuse the loss, but i whole-heartedly agree. whoever made the schedule was smoking something at the time.

Doesn't matter. JMU is a I-AA team. A decent I-A team (never mind a preseason top-10 team) should be able to sleepwalk to victory over those guys. Duke beat a I-AA team. Western Michigan beat a I-AA team. Washington State beat a I-AA team (a really good one, at that).

Any loss by any I-A team to any I-AA team should be viewed as an outrage regardless of whatever excuses you can come up with. Virginia Tech should be able to play the whole game with their second teamers and still beat JMU pretty handily. Anything else is inexcusable, and no matter what happens the rest of the way, VT should not be ranked again this year.

Just my two cents.

And a respectable two cents at that!

...but I still completely disagree. :)

It doesn't matter anyway, because as long as they keep winning they will be ranked again. Although I don't see them getting past Miami.

Aww.. Utah has cancelled their series with Boise State in order to make room for BYU.

I guess they actually wanted to win. I don't blame them. I wouldn't want to play us either. :)

The decision actually makes me a bit upset (though with how much the higher ups are in love with the Holy War, I understand it). I was looking forward to making the trip up to Boise to watch the game and meet you evilgEEk.

That would have been awesome!

Yeah, all joking aside I know why they did it. The rivalry is a lot more important to a lot more people.

...though with how BYU is playing it might not be much of a rivalry. Who knows how long it will take for them to rebuild?...

It's strange, I grew up with the rivalry and it's always been a part of Utah life. For those that haven't lived here, the Utah BYU rivalry is INTENSE. Being a Utah or a BYU fan doesn't just define who you cheer for in football, it defines you as a person. The religious element makes it even crazier.

But the past few years, I've been losing interest. The rivalry has gotten ugly (especially last year) and I think it would be a good idea to take a brake.

In any respect, I really was looking forward to that Boise game.

Yeah, I'm with you in that the rivalry has gotten dirty as of late. I didn't grow up as a Ute or Cougar fan, but my father-in-law played for BYU, so I've been exposed to the rivalry for the last 12 years, an it has definitely taken a turn for the worse.

I just read that Utah is paying us $350,000 to cancel the series. We'll take it! ..of course that's just a drop in the hat compared to the BCS money they'll start getting soon...

but that's what makes a rivalry a rivalry. no matter how good (or crappy) the teams are, the games are always intense. i couldn't imagine usc not playing ucla or notre dame.

How so? Obviously I know that BYU fans are (mostly) Mormon, but are Ute fans typically something else?

Many Ute fans are LDS, but definitely not all of them. That's what makes the rivalry much more heated. Who you support labels you as a certain kind of person. For the record, I'm LDS and a Ute fan.

It seems both sides try to belittle the other for their respective life choices.

A heated rivalry is definitely a good rivalry, but when it starts to turn violent in the stands, that's not good.

........on another note........

Kansas state is just being dominated by Nebraska. I thought this was going to be a much more competitive game...

The Children of the Corn are running wild all over Manhattan, Kansas tonight; YIKES!!

I too thought that this would be a lot more competitive game with both squads being 4-0. Not sure how this game will affect the bigger picture of the NCAA landscape this year but I certainly learned two things tonight:

1) Black Shirts Defense has been reborn in Nebraska
2) Nebraska = current 'best' team in the Big 12

^^Seriously? Keep in mind that OU narrowly, and I do mean by the slimmest of margins escaped being upset by Air Force and the juggernaut known as Utah State in Norman just a few weeks ago. Plus they escaped Cincinnati, by the skin of their teeth. OU's domination of Texas last weekend doesn't count for squat because everyone knows Texas is down this year.

Oklahoma State and Nebraska will be the top teams 2 in the Big 12 this year, just my 2 cents...
