You would need a massive organized boycott that actually affected the ratings
That's not gonna happen, cause most people don't really care

But I agree with MacNut, I miss the days when the only Bowl games that mattered were the Rose, Orange, Sugar and Cotton, and they were all on New Year's Day, not all given their own unique day

NCAA wants the most money possible so that means spreading it out. Best thing we could do is boycott watching the games on TV completely. Make the ratings drop.
What will most likely happen is the big conferences will break from the NCAA and form their own BCS organization and make their own rules.

They could easily turn the current system into a playoff. Take the winners of the Rose Cotton Sugar and Orange and have a 4 team playoff.

Call on that catch was quite questionable; if you ask me it looked like a solid catch, just being real.

Whatever happens in this game I gotta give Wisconsin credit...that smash mouth Counter/Stretch hand off left and right offense is pretty good especially when you have linemen built like 1980's Arnold Schwarzenegger.

well, terrible play-calling by wisco coaches. Finally smartened up and ran it with clay but too little too late.. Why pass on the 2 point??? idiots.

gotta give tcu credit, with some help from their ref friends played the game of their life.

Impressed by TCU
Not sure it was the game of their lives
Seems like it was a typical disciplined game for them

I find them much more compelling than Boise or Utah

In fact, if Richt were to be fired, I might would be interested in Gary Patterson

Good game einmusiker...all around, Whiskey is a class act and a solid team. Missed field goal is what did 'em in not the ref's.
Plenty of opportunities though....in any event, Go Frogs!!! :p

Good point from Patrick Kinahan: "Why do the ESPN people keep talking about the 'the little guys?' Time to stop perpetuating this silly myth."

I am also puzzled why this win is talk about "winning it for the little guys" as if it were the first time

hello??? it has been done before with BSU twice, Utah twice, and now TCU

Non-aq BCS bowl record
5-2 (1-1 with the BSU win over TCU last year)

Non-aq BCS bowl record vs aq opponents
4-1

But Go Frogs while still a member of the MWC!!

Unfortunately, that is the only vote you have, unless you have a Nielson box. ;)

They are gambling that you won't just tune out. They seem to be winning.

but you for get we live in an age with DVR cable boxes. AT&T does have some idea on how many of each show is being watch when. Since I do not record and not watch it I am never counted as watching the game.

From what I was told they can't use the cable boxes to track ratings. One reason they don't want to is that it would be too accurate.

I think a coach like Patterson would be a great fit at UGA right now. He seems like just what they need...disciplinarian, keeps his teams very focused, and seems to have the ability to coach up the players he has (something UGA hasn't been able to do in a long time..Richt's best years were with many of Donnan's leftover players) . With the caliber of player he could recruit at UGA, I think they'd become a feared team again. I just wonder if he'd be interested in leaving TCU, with them going to the Big East soon, where he should be able to dominate and have a chance at a national championship if he goes undefeated.

This assumes UGA is a jump up from TCU :p

Keep in mind, Patterson turned down KState, his alma matter, and they are a pretty good program. It sounds as if he is fairly committed to TCU, esp with now being in a BCS conference

Google probably already has the data :D
If you consider that 1 Nielsen box accounts for 1000 homes how accurate can the numbers be. If we took every cable box and got the true numbers we would find out that they have been over inflating the ratings for decades. They would rather have their numbers trending higher to charge more.

I'd like to agree with that line of logic but we all know strange things start happening when AD's start throwing money around. Schools have shown interest for Patterson in past and it's pretty safe bet to assume that people will come knocking again in the off season.
