The two most hyped teams are now playing golf. As a Yankees fan, I approve of this occurrence. :D

How bout them Sawx...:p;) Go Rays:D

Oh, how cool are you, kick them when they're down. You're building up some impressive baseball karma in this thread.

If that's how you want t be, my girlfriend is hotter than yours, and I still love my Sox.

How about them Phillies? I don't want to say I told you so, but - bwahahaha. Couldn't have happened to a nicer Phillies fan. Enjoy your crushing defeat, so richly deserved after all the taunting you did.

Can't say that I'm sad to see both the Yankees and Phillies out of the playoffs.

Phillies out. Yankees out. Red Sox were never in. What in the world will ESPN do? Detroit is about as "east coast" as you're going to get.

I guess it gives them enough time to cover the annual Brett Favre maybe coming out of retirement-a-thon.

All 25 of ESPN's so-called "experts" chose the Phillies to beat the Cardinals. I wonder how that crow tastes.

Most of those experts probably chose the Red Sox to win it all before the season started, so they're probably used to the taste of crow by now. :D

Same crow they were gobbling when they all picked the Yankees to beat Detroit. In case anyone needs a reminder, New York won exactly as many playoff series as the Red Sox: 0.

I'll be rooting for the Brew Crew in the NL, Detroit in the AL.

Hey....I was agreeing with you. My team lost and I came in here and said they played badly..and they did. And honestly, I didn't think they would get very far with their pitching. So, I was surprised when so many people were picking them.

No need to turn it into a Yanks-Sox thing. We can be friends, even though your taste is questionable. :p

And...my girlfriend is hotter than yours. ;)

Edit: And how crazy weird was the ending to that game? With the Cards celebrating and Ryan Howard rolling on the ground in pain...early word is an achilles tear. What a crazy way to get seriously injured, if it turns out to be a tear.

Obviously another loudmouth who can dish it out but can't take it.

Like most Philly fans I know....they feel like because they have Halladay, Lee and Oswalt that they're entitled to the world series and other teams should just roll over and die when playing the Phillies.

:p;):D:p:eek::eek::confused::rolleyes::cool::mad::):D;):p

The top 9 payroll teams are going home for the post season...

Tigers #10
Cards #11

Time to go watch Moneyball again :D

Hey Phillies, how does it feel to be the best team in MLB with the best pitching staff maybe ever and go home in the first round?
Feel a little like the Braves during their run?
I feel your pain

I knew I liked you - so I saved you a seat next to me on the loser couch. Here we can lament our teams disappointing us and exchange John Lackey/A-Rod horror stories. ;)

I'm pretty sure that's your only insult, because given how embarrassing the Red Sox were in September, if I were a fairweather fan I wouldn't a) be in this thread, b) still admit to being a Red Sox fan, and c) be sparring with trash-talking Phillies fans. So bite me.

Being from LaLa Land you never heard on Philly sarcasm ;):p Keep it REAL...
