So, I know this question has been asked before, but what is the procedure to move your home folder off the SSD and onto the HDD? Am I correct that it comes with it setup on the SSD?
Thx

Just rang TNT Australia, the man wasn't sure either. There was not even a sorry during the conversation, but lots of OK^, very impatient.
bad impression for TNT
Got my iTunes $100 back to school gift card without much effort. Just ask to talk to customer svc if they refuse or donno what they are talking about. It works as long as you got your computer within the last 14 days.
The SSD has TRIM support, but Snow Leopard has not. It will be a new feature in Lion. Not 100% sure though. Also see http://paulstamatiou.com/mac-osx-lion-ssd-trim-support

I just called Apple, and I was told since it was not bought as an 'educational' machine, I did not qualify?
So I suppose waiting another month or two for Lion will not really damage mySSD?

Sorry to get a bit off topic, my iMac will be arriving in just a few more days, very excited.
I have a few questions hopefully this thread can help me with.
I plan on migrating the data from my MBP to the new iMac, all the data (300GBish) won't fit on the SSD so will the migration assistant allow me to chose the drive I transfer the data too? If not how will I get round this?
I would like (like most people) to store my iTunes, iphoto, aperture, and movies folders on the HDD and the OS on the SSD,do I create 2 home folders? Or just have 1 home folder on the HDD, and how do I do this? Any good tutorial pages etc?
Hope you guys can help me, it's my second mac, never had to transfer data, never had 2 dhard drives.
CONGRATULATIONS!! Especially since you are the one to start this thread!![]()
If you are like me you will be peaking out the window constantly for the driver, turning off any ambient noises so that you don't miss the sound of someone knocking, and counting every minute.
