"we have a little more to show you."

"little"

How does that tie in to imacs? It's been said that the leaked photos last week were photos of the MBP 13" motherboard, not the imac.

Sorry folks, there is no new imac next week.

Did you read front page? They are saying it's possible iMacs introduced day after the event. That's the going rumor at least.

That 'rumor' isn't even a rumor. It's made up out of thin air. The benchmarks are fakes, because apple doesn't use geekbench benchmarks for internal testing. The leaked photo was a MBP 13".

zero imac rumors.

oh dear god. All this is strangling me.

Sure there might not be an iMac and dinosaurs might roam the globe once more. Naming every future possibilty is futile...... How the F do you explain sliping shipping dates for all imacs save one on the US store. How do you explain the SKU numbers. How do you explain the analysts (Kuo, digitimes, apple insider, macrumors, marco arment etc)?

It is QUITE possible that there is an explanation for all of these, but UNLESS you know that explanation and can share it with us, you are just providing unfounded baseless bull faeces, and you help noone.

Well we'll see if you're right next week. I'm not regularly visiting 9to5 or AI but both of them seem to believe it.

Why do I always get caught by the trolls >.< I should just let them be.

Alot of info coming the following week, i hope. Let's wait and see.

----------

Has 9to5mac ever been wrong about SKU numbers?

They usually nail them. Ofc, they only have SKUs so they have no chance of knowing exactly what unit they belong to, and last time they assumed the rMBPs were iMacs simply because noone expected rMBPs. This time they may be 4 versionf of the iTV or a new Boxer shorts series. It's highly likely that they are just iMacs.

That's what I thought. I remember them misjudging the SKU's prior to WWDC this year, but there's so many pieces that fit this time around.

The consensus here in the UK, certainly amongst the news feeds is that the word "little" is a teaser for the iPad Mini.

The alleged photo of the insides of the next gen iMac looks nothing like the inside of a MacBook Pro (past, present, or even future models). Not even close.

Additionally, look how cramped the 15" Retina MacBook Pro internals are, then imagine making a 13" version of that.

Now look at the alleged iMac photo. Look at that empty space toward the top. I don't know of too many notebook computers that will just leave empty space for the sake of having empty space...

But the most obvious indicator is the 2.5" hard drive. The 13" rMBP will be using flash.

The link to the Chinese forum that leaked the photo is no longer working.

Wonder what that is all about?

In fairness to AlphaMF, we still don't know this either.

I do want an iMac refresh and I'm hopeful that there will be one. But one thing these last few months have beaten into my head is that being hopeful doesn't mean popping the champagne cork ahead of schedule.

What we know now is that there's an Apple event next week, that Apple has some very overdue refreshes, and that there is measurable clamor in the user community for at least some sort of guidance on what will happen, if not a refresh outright. We know the underlying technology exists and is in full production if refreshes are in the offing: Ivy bridge, USB 3, etc. We also know that Apple will have "something great for our pro users later in 2013," which may or may not be some sort of high-end desktop Mac, or a Mac Pro upgrade. Finally, we know that Jim Dalrymple has explicitly "yepped" that it would be "a mistake" to abandon the Mac desktop world for the time being.

What we can speculate is that Apple has some awareness of all this. We can speculate they are going to do something about it next week. And the primary dampener of hope is that we speculated all that in June and we got **** on. But perhaps this time it won't go that way.

We DO NOT KNOW whether there will be a Mac refresh of any kind -- ever again, actually -- but specifically next week. However, it seems more probable than not. It is not a fait accompli. All we can do is wait and find out.

Hm, so no more bets on EOL now, Master Gambler? Oh wait, what am I doing, I forgot the fragile wordsmith is "just not considerate" enough to reply after he unloads his wisdoms. Sorry : *

What I said guys, all trolls come out saying that there's not gonna be an iMac next week even though we've been hearing rumors about this since who knows when, plus slipping dates plus leak parts plus part numbers what else you guys want??? It's obvious there's gonna be a new iMac next week stop being so negative. Anyone thinking because its says "little" in the invitation then tha means that its just an iPad mini event only. Please explain now they are gonna spend a whole event about one single device, yes it's a new product but its not an a whole new line of products, it's like apple making an event for one MacBook Pro alone just one, well that just seems crazy doesn't it, we'll yes it does the same thing with the whole iPad min. iMacs next week wether you like it or not period, I'm sorry guys but you guys need to stop saying this for no reason at all if did have a legitimate reason I would understand buy you don't so quit it. Lol

If anyone wants bets I'm down for that (seriously!) ill bet with anyone 100 bucks well see new iMacs next week.

As of right now, the iMac being EOLed is still just as possible as a refresh. If you have proof otherwise, provide it. If not, be silent.

It looked just as obvious in June. How'd that turn out?

Weren't you the one talking about irony before : )

Where and when has there been any rumor about EOL? Proof? None? Links? Not considerate enough to post them? Wait, what? How about that silence, dear Mike Firstthreelettersofgirlfriendmike?

And just out of curiosity, what did you mean by **** before, not so good at the guessing game : )

But mike, it was so fun having you on this side, please come back?

What about the SKUs? Eat about the leaked image? What about the stock that now are reeeeally sipping? 2/3 of NYC stores are out of 21". And 27" has 8 days delivery. Everything else on their store has 2-3 days delivery. None of these happened in June.

I hear Lord Valdemike is heavy in the betting game, he will also bet on EOL, based on... well, he just does.

By the way: mike is Hardly the worst here. He rarely postulated something with certainty. He is just slightly more pessimistic than us, and tbfh that's ok. I don't get the other idiots tho that post one sentence baseless horse balls.
