At Apple Store Australia

Okay time now 1:30 pm in Australia
Some thing definatly under the covers that is not an ipad or Mac Mini
has a big board in front of it, most likely advertising material
the shape and size of the boxes lead to the guess they are IMac boxes
tried a few times to get closer but eyes on me all the time
No photos allowed in shop so please not ask me to upload photos

No old IMacs on display
But photo of the old machine and price on table

Guess we are still in a guessing game
but at least it keeps our hopes up

Asking staff about buying an imac I was told delivery in 3 days, for both the base and 27" model
Could not get them to confirm the entry level is a 21" model

apart from this I know as much as any one
But Apple staff know more than they are saying, I am sure

Hey, upload pics or it didn't happen!

Yeah, that's the way to say it leadfeather89. You know I have a difficult time believing that all the action, and/or anticipated action would be in Australia. Don't we say that any of these kinds of releases is timed around the announcement taking place in the USA and not the mere fact that Australia is ahead of the USA in their dates...

In this case, being ahead in dates should not matter. Maybe if Tezzainoz informs us why being ahead in dates matters, then we would be able to make some kind of connection with what he's saying...

It's like Tezzainoz is pulling our chains, just to get us worked up.

LOL ready to be letdown lads?

Bobright. It's all fine and dandy that you are making a prediction that IMACs are not coming out, but I do not understand what seems to be gloating in the possibility that some people may be disappointed or "let down" by such a non-event.

Also, and it is fine also that you may be making a prediction that is in the minority... i have nothing against going against the mainstream, but it seems that you are doing it just to gloat and/or to see suffering...

strange that is!!!!

What a sleepless morning i've got!

you claim to have seen the truck pull up with a large shipment which was taken behind the store? and then you said that around 12am you saw lights on and people working inside the store...

is it this place?

I am ready to purchase a 27" myself trust me I'm not thrilled about it

I think that the number of color bands on the invite has something to do with the number of announcements at the event. There are 6, so I think that the iMac has a spot in there. rMBP 13 inch, Mac Mini, iPad Mini, updated normal iPad, iMac and something else? We shall see.

So you are going to be pleasantly surprised and excited if your seemingly gloating prediction is incorrect?

New iTunes is supposed debut this month.

It's weird that rainbow doesn't follow ROYGBIV, nor the pattern of the old rainbow Apple logo.

I'm not a speculator, but just some interesting design choices.

I will gladly stand corrected and eat crow...I stand by my prediction though the iMac will not even be mentioned.

At No time

At no time have I said I saw or have seen new Imacs
I only said what I have seen
as already said they could be anything
I have no idea what the policy of Apple is in the US or any other country
I can only say Australia seems to be already prepared as we will be the first country to have the units on sale

The history of the release of the iphone 5 confirms Apples policy in Australia

Your replies seem to show me the arrogance of you people who feel the US is far more important than the rest of the world

The photo you uploaded is the Sydney store, if you had taken the time you would notice I live in Qld not NSW

As the postings seem committed to doom and gloom for iMac owners
I am just wasting my time talking to people who have no intention of listening to my experience

Tomorrow we will all know Yes or No
Me I just want to believe it will happen
and look at the signs that tell me there is a chance
seems if I took a picture of a new boxed iMac you doom lovers would still not believe

So okay UP TO YOU

You're rather correct. It probably means nothing, but it wouldn't be the first time that they do something like this on an event invitation [citation needed].

Luckily, we'll know in about 11.5 hours.

I would like to say some of us are skeptical, and not necessarily arrogant..

the announcement and invite are taking place in California, not in Australia...

I recognize that some of Apple's strategies have changed in recent years b/c they have gotten better at international and simultaneous international release, so maybe some of us (in the USA) do not always know the circumstances of certain international releases (additionally, you may recall that the first couple of Iphones were released in the USA first, but Apple has adjusted its release strategies in some respects in recent years).

See, I'm telling you guys.....

:(

Holy Crap..if Apple doesn't show Imacs will fail totally this time...i mean what other will advertise.."Look Apple? Is not able to even manage/build a new product ,just to sell an overpriced outdated one..and when it comes out?Underpowered retina displays..don't be a fan, open your brain:cool:."
I hope i'm wrong but i have a bad feeling..:(

----------

Cant really leak an iMac shell that easily.

No..there's something more..no leaks could really point to no Imacs nor mini..
lets see:(

----------

This has been the case for weeks now. It has been reported numerous times that the larger 27" models are having some screen assembly issues and that even though they may publicly introduce both new models, the 27" skus may not ship immediately.

Calm.

If the new 27 has serious issues..why not to release a new 27 with the old display they were using? Is it because of the stupid war between Apple and Samsung? Can't believe Cook could fail like this ..would be so stupid...
and if its not and he doesn't say nothing clearly and not some criptic words about it which only plays one time too much with our patience..this time i will drop Apple till Cook leaves.

Bad News?

Bad news guys- 9 to 5 Mac is reporting that some of the iMacs have been pushed so far back that it may be there is no mention of them at all at the event today!

Looking at all the evidence ( or should I say rumours and supposed leaks), including that original analysts timeline, it seems that Apple has had massive problems with the 27 inch display. It does not look like retina so it is likely screen lamination issues for this new glued on screen.

I would guess a new iMac is definitely coming, but we may not see it announced today.

Its been already mentioned but thanks,as i said if this is the csase Apple will fail missing last 2012 window for new products and giving reason to the competitors and press to say..look,they weren't able to build a new desktop or even to update an old one, making all waiting and joking with toys with them, failing the week Windows8 was released, this because of Cook, which clearly isn't good as Jobs,Apple has ended its gold epoque..and its sliding miserably with no real reasons to do it.
Speaking about me..retina 15"macbookPro is not the deal i need,is way overpriced for my pockets( sorry m8s)
and the classic15 with one GB its an insult because its even more ..,so no reason to buy the new ones ,nor the old imacs..but i cannot work with Windows, which for me is a real pain..so i'll search for a refurbished mini in order to wait a little more in the 2013 before to drop all the Apple train, because no desktops for me means no I-phone/Pod/Pad etc anymore ..infact i'm really starting to consider the Android world for the cell toys..,if this is the war Apple wants to win with Samsung, well this way its not the right way, because they're losing users,
the worst mistake to do.
