its the same in norway, even if its in stock it says, shipping wont happen before oct 15....so maybe tomorrow then ???yes you are right!

The danish store is the same. I don't know how it will roll out worldwide, but the US store is the tell tale anouncement wise. And that still shows oct 11-16th for all 4 models.
It's weekend lag. Come back and tell us such an occurance on a Tuesday or Wednesday. On a Sunday night for the US store. Noise.
In store, shipping immediately in UK, even BTO on 1-3 days. Look, by now we would have seen SKUs if it was launching this week. It's not. Best case scenario, we get a mention in the iPad Mini event next week. So best case scenario ships immediately say 19th Oct but more realistic 23rd, 26th or 30th Oct (meh, Haloween). Block our 2-3 weeks specifically for iPad mini. Then you you have Thanks giving 22nd November, Black Friday 23rd November.
If we don't get 23rd or 26th Oct, I am kind of giving up on 2012
Estimated arrival dates are probably getting bumped up by all the hopefuls adding them to their cart just to see what it says.

well, the fact that they are sending right away some places but not everywhere is good news IMO. It means that this just isn't some weekend coincident, but that the stocks are running very low at some places. It's different boxes and keyboards and packages for every country, so that they are not running out everywhere at the same time is good news. I don't mean its gonna happen tomorrow, but this is at least one positive indication we might see them on this side of Christmas.
I doubt tomorrow was ever a real possibility, but I preferred being sure about next week rather than thinking/hoping next week. My money is still at iPad launch possibly silent.
If apple doesnt release a new imac this month, they are loosing a very profitable costumer, because i decide which equipment to buy in my company (big one), I will go the PC way.
I love their OS and how flawless it works, but paying premium price is more than enough.
I can't understand how people say apple is not obligated to keep updating their products?
It is part of how reliable a company is and this is one more sign that apple is leaving the pro/prosumer customers. It happened with Shake, Color, Mac pro, FCPX and now iMacs. I certainly dont like how apple is doing business. Ipods iphones ipads macbooks wont pay the bills.
