Not sure if spotted before. But the price guide of appleinsider gives out of stock for almost all web stores and all models.

Is that already longer like that?

It could be because today is a holiday in some areas I guess. Just playing devils advocate

Ok Ill bite, but how do you explain the difference in the two models then :)?

Look's like there will be an announcement soon about the new imac's .
Comet in the uk had the 2011 machine on sale and in stock up to yesterday.
Just checked today and they are now out of stock .

I was going to buy one myself but after thinking about what i need a mac for i realised portability was a big factor in my decision.
I bought a 13" 2012 macbook pro and it's ideal for me.I will be using it in the band i play live.I've already used the machine for recording basic tracks on cubase.Very impressed with the machine as i'm used to windows and Pc's its a big revelation to me and made me wonder why i've not used mac's before!!
The imac still interests me and I may buy one in the near future for a home recording studio.Really interested in what apple will do to upgrade the machine.

What the chance of a release on the 9th.? I want to say yes but we've been though this before and every Tuesday nothing happens

Release? Doubtful. I can see it being "announced" tomorrow and available Friday or so.

Of course, I hope I'm wrong as I've been wanting a 27" for a while. IF the update isn't that big of a deal I might just get a refurbed 27". I'm not a power user but a redesign might change my mind....

Why are no apple rumour sites running with this and digging SOMETHING UP !????

Its the most significant "stock" status we've had yet. Far better than any of the store stock statuses that have been posted NUMEROUS times. WTF!???

What's significant about it exactly? (Again, I hope you're right)

Same here in Spain. Corte Ingles (is a major store, kind of Bloomingdale's or John Lewis but without style or class) has only the 21 in stock, no 27.

Link

Likewise Fnac (major computer store) has no 27s at all and a notice saying they are on order but with no arrival date.

Also, a friend bought a 2011 iMac on Saturday and I told her to hang on and wait but she couldn't, her existing machine bought the farm. MIndful of my advice she asked what difference the new one would have for her needs and the guy said there was one imminent but the only thing she would benefit from would be faster specs and Usb 3. He did not know when it would be released but was quite sure of that....

Zero, In my humble opinion. But we have been here before. Seeing the dates tick off one after another. My big dates were 11 June, 24/25 July and 21 Sept. My FINAL hope is for week after next. If that doesn't happen. I can't see it happening in 12

that Apples central shippings are now delayed. Up until now, 3rd party resellers have had issued supplying, and apple stores have run out of "in store pickup" stock occasionally. Apple hasn't centrally delayed shipments.

This isn't something that happens to Apple usually, and specially not with a 2 year old product that should have a very steady output. All the other rumours CAN happen in a blue moon, not this though.
But yes ofc... with our apple fanatics luck another batch is just shipping from china and coming in next week, and all 3rd party resellers will be restocked (in which case ill set fire to my face and have my coworkers skullbone me).

Yes I suppose this hasn't happened before but we have had retailers running out of stock for about 1 month and still no update.

If I was apple having so many items to release until the end of the year (and having less than a month from iPhone 5) I wouldn't release/announce a brand new item (talking about ipad mini) so close to iPhone. This will confuse the portable users...buy an iPhone 5 or ipad mini. I would have introduced the updated imac/mac mini etc. silently for those that really care and waiting for it, and leave the ipad mini for a month or so and closer to the Christmas holidays possibly mid November.

"Mac" Rumors

Super frustrated with Apple, and even more with the Apple news websites (like this one right here). Every minute details about the iPhone / iPad gets front page news: Apple starts shipping the smaller dock connector, yet another mock up of the iPad mini -- really news?

I think the Mac gets the cold shoulder from Apple not only because of its sales compared to iOS devices, but because the media is obsessed about all things iOS. No one wants to report on the computer side of Apple anymore. Wonder how all those iOS apps get developed in the first place? There always exist a market for big screen, powerful, non-mobile machines out there. Many production houses I know are moving away from Apple and Final Cut -- the lack of updates to the Mac Pro is the biggest reason, much more so than the FCP X debacle.

Hello MacRumors, iOS news only!

Haha yeah...try searching iMac on Google news - you get 106 articles in iPad mini.

Unbelievable.

You creo que ese Es el tiempo normal que se a tomado siempre. O no?

THe us one isnt normal. Normal is delivery within 3 days, usually the next day. The 11th for the lowend 27" can pass, but 15th and 16th for 21 inch and high end 27 ?

Not normal.

A mi 8 dias no me ha marcado nunca!!! Un macbook pro que compre hace 1 mes tardo 2 dias en llegar a casa. Y siempre que he mirado las fechas daba entre 3 y 4 dias.

I will preface this with I REALLY HOPE I AM WRONG. Unfortunately I have a feeling that we won't see them till next year. It's really a drag. I, like a lot of you, have been waiting for a long time. My bet is an entire desktop line refresh in mid to late 2013. Like I said I hope I am wrong, because that would be a BIG bummer. I guess at this point I am slightly jaded.
If I am correct I will be buying a maxed out retina MBP with 2 thunderbolt displays.
