The Majority of all users won't touch the inside, but if you think a large # of users wouldn't like to add their own RAM

You were originally talking about hard drive replacement ("If Apple made it thicker slightly for better cooling and possibly easier to replace hard drives on your own most everyone would love that.") Now you're talking about RAM, which anyone can do at any time with any Mac, easily.

That's called moving the goalposts. Did you think no one would notice?

I guess I better stock up on external drives for all my music, photos, and movies seeing that old fashioned hdd's are going extinct according to Apple.

Did you stock up on RAM when Apple went with Notebook RAM over Desktop RAM in their iMacs years ago? Oh...you were trying to make a joke. Funny.

I don't care what they do with the keyboards but it would be nice if the wireless keyboard had a number pad... maybe I'm a minority, but it kinda sucks to have to buy a wired keyboard to get the numbers and arrow separate from the standard letter layout

I know! It'd be nice to have a choice, to have one wireless with number pad and another one without it and is up to us to choose wich one, after that and them releasing the 27 inch with the 21 inch I don't care.... Well I do but you know

another mockup of what I'm hoping for, going on the same two color theme I posted before plus the super thin teardrop shape

Use more of them it's more colorful.

And umm no not really, I should have included both, I did not. Big freaking deal.

9 to 5 Mac reports is confirming that there will be a 13 inch retina MacBook Pro which means that the event won't be iPad mini only it means that they are introducing macs too so with that said it is now sure I'm more than sure than the iMac is coming that day too!!!!!!!!! HEEEELLLLLL YES GUYS ITS COMING!!!!!!!!

Article : http://9to5mac.com/2012/10/14/13-inch-macbook-pro-with-retina-display-confirmed-for-apple-event/

YES!!!!!!!! All this wait will soon be over!,

what tells you the imac will be announced then?

Posted Oct 14th 2012:::
I really didn't expect any new Macs yesterday, even silent updates, as the entire even was focused on iPhone and iPods, as it normally is around this time of year.

Suzanne, you're either a time traveller or been in a coma for the past month.

My money is on time traveller!

Did you read the post, we've got recent rumors saying that the iMacs either be this week or the next, everyone was puzzle by the fact that apple doesn't like to mix iOS devices with Mac but now when get rumors saying that the MacBook Pro 13 inch wll be release at that event leads me to believe it won't be an iPad mini event only there will be macs too all the pieces of the puzzle coming together, now if you fail to see this you're a simply ignoring everything that's happening and you just want to be a negative person, so if that's you please go away with your negativity because we don't need it here, that's right I said it

I love your optimism, but is it possible that adding yet another Mac item to the event would be just one too many, and so they may wait to do the iMac later? I sure hope not. Bring it on Apple! Damn I'm tired of this 2006 MBP with flickering screen, keys missing input, fans blaring full guns and a Geekbench score of 3260.

Ok ??? I don't get it I don't understand why three products is just too many ?? In the last event we got iOS 6, iPhone, iPod touch, iPod nanos, introduction to new iTunes and new color shuffles, so how is an iPad mini, one MacBook Pro (which there's noting new about it since its gonna get the same treatment as the 15 inch MacBook Pro) and iMacs one too many. I get you you're trying to be realistic but with all the leak parts, recent rumors and slipping dates in some countries what else do we want ? I say it's happening if not apple event then next year which seems very unlikely at this point judging by recent rumors. At this point I'm willing to make bets that the iMac will happen

You have a point. I guess I just felt it as a hunch; don't really have any evidence to back it up. Ehh forget it, I'm with you. It's coming SOON! :)

Maybe the reason why it's not been confirmed released at the 23rd is because its coming tomorrow??? A week in the spotlight on their web page before the other products comes out......but...probably not :(

Mmm I think they will be release at the event, I don't know why they would rush the iMacs first, I mean by all means I hope they do come out first than the damm iPad mini and MacBook Pro(so sick of these mobile device news btw)but I think the fact they are putting macs and iPad mini together is actually good sign, I've always said apple might wanna showcase this new iMac at an event since is a new design but people call me crazy when I say that so.. Who knows, one thing is for sure the iMacs are defiantly happening.

Now all we need is the sane confirmation for the iMac and we can finally stop waiting!

Yeah, if it was me the show was aiming at, the iMac would be the big news and the rest just fillers. A new redesigned iMac, this it headline news to me.
I mean, ipad mini is as boring as a new ipod imo. I have a regular iPad, I´m definitely not gonna buy a smaller, cheaper model with less abilities. and the macbook pro 15" really isn´t worth mentioning, its just the missing model from WWDC, nothing more....

More so for the comments, arguments and "hope" than for the speculation.

Speaking of speculation... I think the invitations will be sent out tomorrow for the event. Possibly Tuesday. As far as the event itself - with new iMacs - there are only 3 possibilities really.

1. Silent refresh with updated specs without retina.
2. Brand new redesign with retina.
3. Zero new iMacs... which will most certainly indicate they won't be coming in 2012.

I'd prefer #2 - just don't think it's likely the case.
I'm pretty sure there will be a new iMac in 2012 so #3's out.

So I'm going with #1. A refresh/updated new iMac.

The redesign will come in 2013 along side the new Mac Pro.

In the meantime... keep the speculations going.

:)

Well spoken. I need a new imac on my desk before the end of October.

Well for the first time ever we've got a image leak (yesterday) for a new iMac. So I think it's safe to say we will get a redesign. That image did not look fake in any way.
