That's Apple for u....

:apple:

I'm scared guys. I'm hoping the MacBook Pro line loses the optical drive and slims down. (just like the older rumors)

I really don't want there to be MacBooks, MacBook Airs, and the now legacy MacBook Pros.

I'm afraid going this route will give them the option of raising the price on the new slimmed down models.

If the entire MacBook Pro line just slims down, they'll probably keep the same processor and gpus with similar tdp's to the current units.

If they create a new notebook line, I'm afraid they will keep the same cpu's but may skimp on the gpu. Worst case, they could only have integrated gpus.

I have the same fear!!!

....

Would anyone here get the base 15" model if it only had the HD4000? I think I'd be forced to get 13" which will hopefully get the quad core

In this case, i would definetely not get the 15 inch! The main reason for me to get the 15 mcp is the presence of a dgpu.

If Apple uses an igpu, i'll surely get another notebook from another brand, sadly!

+1 million... igpu and its a show stopper for apple

I fear that there will be no hardware announcements tomorrow.

The keynote is listed as 1.5 hrs long. I think it will take that long to get through, IOS, MAC OS X and iCloud info. Afterall WWDC is about software developers.

Crossing my fingers that this is not the case.

Really I don't think it would take more than 15 or 20 minutes to go through a bunch of Mac hardware updates.

If they are just updates to Ivy Bridge, then I think it won't take long to run through it all.

But with rumors about thinner MBP, retina display, updated Mac Pro, seems like that could take some time to talk about.

If there is in fact a redesigned MBP, I think they will spend a little more time showing it off.

These days it's rare for Macs to get any stage time at all. They'll probably spend more time talking about the retina displays and how devs can support them than they will on the specs of the machines.

not really... Retina is word all mac people understand , thinner is obvious.. Apple seems to be going for a less is more direction, so I dont think it will take that long.

Heh what if there is no update on hardware at all? None. Lol that would be hilarious.

I would laugh and cry at the same time. It'd be funny to hop on here and see the reactions, and then I'd be sad cause I'm on the same train right now...

I agree because, well, tomorrow is Sunday! :D

I know right same here. I'm waiting for the redesign. As a tech gadget junky whore I need the latest and greatest.

I walked into the apple store for the first time in my life last night. I thought I would burst into flames (former mac hater) but I kinda embraced it. It was different. The only thing that annoyed me about the mac store is none of their macbook pros had a spec sheet. They had ipads that basically said "its a 13" macbook pro" but nothing as far as whats in it. I was looking for a macbook pro that had the anti-glare screen so I can compare it to the glossy screen.

I was able to compare the 13" with the 15" and I like the 15" better for what I want it for.

They have an anti glare model set up in store it's one of the 15" - it has the silver lining around the screen. And the specs are on the iPad - you have to click one of the tabs on the bottom.
