I'm sort of a "tech gadget junky" but for me it's not the fact that I need the latest and greatest. I just bought a refurb iPad 2 because it was a good deal, even though it's not new. But I need a new laptop, I'm moving from Windows to Mac and I would just feel like an idiot if I dropped $1200 on a laptop (3x what my current one cost), a significant amount of money for a student, only to have it be "old tech" 2 months later. That's why when I finally made the decision, I made my laptop finish the semester and am holding onto it by a thread to make it last another week or whatever.I know right same here. I'm waiting for the redesign. As a tech gadget junky whore I need the latest and greatest.
I walked into the apple store for the first time in my life last night. I thought I would burst into flames (former mac hater) but I kinda embraced it. It was different. The only thing that annoyed me about the mac store is none of their macbook pros had a spec sheet. They had ipads that basically said "its a 13" macbook pro" but nothing as far as whats in it. I was looking for a macbook pro that had the anti-glare screen so I can compare it to the glossy screen.
I was able to compare the 13" with the 15" and I like the 15" better for what I want it for.
I'm sort of a "former Mac hater" to an extent. I called their devices overpriced, etc. Then I used an MBP/iMac for work one summer, loved it. Got an iPhone and I'm obsessed with it. Tried out an iPad 2 and had to get one. They've got me hooked
