At the end of the day, all drivers pale in comparison to Vettel.
Not sure I agree. I'd like to see Alonso, Hamilton or Kimi in the RBR number 1 car and see how they compare.

I don't think so. Vettel is a great driver, but Alonso and Kimi are better. Put them in an equivalent car and they will beat Vettel more often than not.At the end of the day, all drivers pale in comparison to Vettel.
Vettel certainly has talent. He proved it with the Toro Rosso in the rain at Monza and with the BMW at Indianapolis. So his success is certainly not solely because he is driving the Red Bull.
But having the dominant car has played a major role in his success, just as it has played a major role for all World Driving Champions throughout Formula One, especially those who have won multiple WDCs.
I think RBR have developed the car around finger boy for years now. Thats why the two work together so well. It was the same at Ferrari back when Schumacher was there winning everything.
It will be interesting who gets to control development at Ferrari next year Alonso or Kimi.
It will depend on how many friends Kimi has left there, and who produces the goods in the early races.
Either way, can't wait for this season to be over and the next one to start.
Despite the pain in the back would give him a respite during the GP of Singapore, allowing him to get on the lowest rung of the podium without any problems, after the race began to circulate with a certain insistence the rumor that Kimi Raikkonen will undergo surgery surgery at the end of the season.
The Finnish pulls behind this problem for several years and in particular it is a nerve that tends to ignite when it is urged too. The cause of the discomfort suffered on the Marina Bay Street would be a step too aggressively over a curb in the first free practice on Friday.
To enable him to take the path of Gp his physio has undergone a cure cortisone treatments being helped by a colleague of Red Bull. However, the "Iceman" now seems willing to sort it out once and for all before making his return to Ferrari and then in the coming winter should go under the knife for an operation that still should not be too invasive, guaranteeing times recovery rather short.
Emmo tweeted that Kimi might be out for Korea and the rest of the season. The Italian press (omnicorse.it) is speculating he'll get surgery at the end of the season.

Just wanted to post on how cool I thought it was to see Webber hop on Alonso's Ferrari for a ride back. And with the little amount of space already in the cockpit, still not sure where his foot fit in there.
Hthe reprimand is too harsh in my opinion.
I mean come on Webber. If your going to get a penalty, at least let it be for clipping the back of finger boys car!
There are still some races left.![]()
I disagree. The CCTV footage shows that where Alonso stopped was dangerous as both Hamilton and Rosberg had to take evasive action to avoid hitting either the Ferrari or Webber.
If Alonso had stopped closer to the runoff area, they would have remained in view of approaching cars and at that point I think a reprimand would not have been issued (or would not have been warranted).
Maybe... the issue is where else could he have stopped by the time he saw Webbo needed a lift, these cars can get easily stuck on the kerbs if they stop on them. I don't disagree that it was somewhat dangerous, I just think 10 spots is too much. However it is his third infraction... so that was the justification. Part of me thinks they both didn't care about anyone else given "finger boys" dominance. Funny to see that name used on this page![]()
Anybody see the movie RUSH? Any thoughts?
I have mixed feelings about the movie. It's great that someone made a movie about F1. And the Hunt vs Lauda battle transcends the sport.
But having been a little kid who was obsessed with F1 I couldn't help but be distracted by all the little avoidable inaccuracies. I think I would have liked the movie more if I knew nothing about F1.

Planning on seeing it, but not got round to it yet. Most sports related movies always disappoint but the trailers look good.
i still wanna see it
It's definitely worth seeing. It's the best F1 movie ever made, that's for sure. It could have been much better for F1 fans but we are a minority of viewers, especially in the states.
Just remember it's based on a true story and is no way a documentary. Go in with low expectations and you may be pleasantly surprised.
We should start a thread with all the non-storyline goofs though. The narrative is of course going to be changed to make the story more 'Hollywood'. There were just a lot of little details that could have been more accurate if they even had a copy of Automobile Year on the set.
