At one point, the Patriots tended to play at the level of they opponents. A visiting great team would see the Pats play them hard, a bad team, the Pats would be lax and find themselves playing down to that level.

I see that exact issue happening with the Niners. That's all coaching, and I think Harbaugh's days are numbered for a variety of reasons.

Harbaugh's downfall is certainly being written in a big way for many legitimate reasons. Not getting along with owners doesn't help either.

Part of the problem, to his defense, were three key defensive players being out for many weeks for different reasons not related to the coach. It was a bad hand he was dealt and most coaches wouldn't be with 7 wins under those same circumstances. At this point I would be happy with a 9-7 year so Harbaugh won't leave the team with a losing season.

If he leaves at the end of this season, all those personal issues and fights will go by the wayside and history will only remember he went to three NFC Championship Games and finished out the following, final Niner's season still on the plus side.

But I always hate to see a coach have a huge career only to end it in a whimper going less than 8-8 in his last attempt. We all want to see our heroes ride off in the sunset. While not my teams, it was great to see the Bus get a ring on his last game and to see Elway end his career with his back to back ring.

that Rams defense is crushing it! 2 shut outs in a row(shutting out the raiders & redskins isn't too hard i know but still..) and the offense put up 76 points in those two games!

I don't care if anyone says that the Raiders and Redskins are complete ******. They are. But this is still the NFL and to shut out anyone is an impressive feat. To do it back to back? That is defensive domination. While I don't expect them to do that Thursday against the Cardinals, I think the Rams are going to win and will keep the Cardinals to around 17 points or less.

The Jets continue to SUCK FOR THE DUCK!

The Rams are the best in the NFC, and possibly the NFL and if the Rams shut them down, it will show us all again that it's any given Sunday (Monday, Thursday). Even the worst team are professionals and people seem to forget that. Look at how many college stars who come into the NFL and get completely outclassed. There's a reason even NFL benchwarmers get paid well.

Look at the Raiders and how this last place team took down an NFC team that was legitimately in the hunt for a wild card.

I still totally expect the Cardinals to win and lock up a postseason spot but they won't blow out the Rams. If the Cardinals win big then people will forget who Green Bay is but if the Cardinals barely win then people will think Seattle could still catch them in NFC West. This game will certainly be their most important so far in the season. At this point in the season, week 15, the Cardinals have to not only win but be on the rise if they want to retain their #1 NFC playoff spot.

The Rams did beat the Broncos pretty convincingly. They are good when they are good, but seem to be a little short when it comes to being consistent. I would never take them for granted.

The Niners seem to have a 3-2 pattern going so far this season. They have not lost more than two in a row so far, so they could well pull one off at the Clink on Sunday. Being humiliated serves to piss the guys off – OTOH, one should never go into a fight mad.

I have a feeling, judging by the way they were playing, they didn't take the Raiders seriously enough.

I was impressed that Seattle beat Philly in Philly.

Their previous 3 games were wins against 3 of the the top teams in the NFC. If they can do it 3 more times they take the NFC West. They might be able to pull it off since they already beat S.F. and Arizona.

Next is S.F. at home then Arizona in Arizona then St. Louis at home.

If they pull that off then there's a very good chance they might pull off a back to back SB.

A team hasn't done that in a long time.

If the Seahawks take this year's SB, it will be the ten-year mark since the last repeat. If not, it will become a record repeat-drought (the last ten year gap ended in 1990 with SF's record evisceration of Elway).

Just noticed that no team has clinched anything in the NFL. With only 3 games left that is unusual.

Washington, Jacksonville, New York, New York, Tennessee and Oakland. Chicago burns quietly in the corner, whilst Tampa Bay still has an outside shot at winning the Okeefenokee division.

10 wins already. you know they are pretty much a lock for the post season, right?

they won't beat the rams though.

I thought they needed one more win but that's good for them. Seattle could still steal NFC West though. I would love to see the Rams beat the Cardinals. :)

Parity. This is the first time in a while there aren't any runaway teams. In the past you had the New England's, The Indianapolis' runaway with the division but as we've seen this year, every team pretty much hit lows where we questioned what was going to happen (New England, Seattle). Even with the pretty awful NFC South, I wouldn't be surprised if the Saints made the playoffs and then started playing decent like in years past where they looked like contenders.

If Green Bay want's to be an elite team they better get better than 43-37 over Atlanta.

i think the Rams game will be the only trouble spot for them... and i bet they win that one too...

WANTS to be ?

They ARE an elite team, tied with Arizone leading the NFC.

That doesn't mean they haven't been slacking a bit in yesterday's game, but they do this on occasion when the win is easy.

When the pressure is on (like last week against NE), they are doing what needs to be done.

GB has not been a team that would just pile on. They just do whatever needed to win.

The pressure is always on at this time of the year. They have the wild card game bye if they hold up but there are a few strong NFC teams right on its heels who are also elite (Cowboys, Eagles, Lions, Seahawks) who are all just one game back and may not have let somebody score 37 points against them. The way I see it, Green Bay is holding on by the skin of their teeth here and there's no room for slacking at this point.

Aaron Rodgers may be the most accurate starting quarterback in the sports history, but that means nothing if his team's D can't hold off their opponent. There's only so many times that a team scores 37 points and loses. This won't happen again and I am sure GB's coach was more about what went wrong when chewing out his team than what went right. It's pro football and while GB's offense held up to the pro moniker, their D failed them especially in the context of how dominating their D has been for most years.

What will happen if GB has a floppy defense and has to face Russel Wilson and the Seahawks? Will the Seahawks let Aaron Rodgers score over 40 points against them if they meet in NFC playoffs? For GB's weak D showing, it's more than reasonable to see Arizona as the deserving #1 seed in race to playoffs. You win, not because you happened to get lucky, but next month because you absolutely have a working offense and a working defense. You can't come in one-sided lest you end up like Denver did in the Super Bowl.

Looks like Cam Newton was involved in an ugly car accident. His SUV flipped over but apparently he is ok with a traverse process fracture (same injury Romo suffered in his back earlier this season causing him to miss one game)
