With the Philly loss and the Dallas win Seattle got a play-off spot.

[edit]

With the win over Arizona Seattle can be the NFC #1 seed if they win at home against St. Louis next week.

Can someone tell me why Chris Chrispy is in the press box with jerry jones? He knows the giants (who play in new jersey) are one of the cowboys biggest rivals. . .

Christie is a huge Cowboys fan. Refreshing to see a politician, even a dick like Christie, not pander to his state and admit who he likes.

Cool. Hope he gets a chance to visit Seattle for a rematch for the Super Bowl spot.

;)

Also I hope Seattle makes it to the Super Bowl again and plays Brady and gang so there can be no doubt whether or not a good defense wins games.

Brady and the Pats won't lose to the seahawks in the superbowl.

I thought that Seattle couldn't beat SF Niners and they did. For a time it seemed like Seattle was going to sit this year out and they surprised just about everybody in huge late season rally.

It's anybody's game at Super Bowl. If played today, as hot as Seattle is right this second, then I would put my money on them to beat New England, and after Broncos showing, I would put Seattle over Broncos, too. And the Colts, they got smashed by Dallas. So with New England beating possibly the worst team in the NFL by one point, the Broncos losing to Cincy, and the Colts losing to a December Romo led Cowboys, I have to put my money more now than ever on the dreaded Seahawks. If anything, their youth, bravado, and inexperience will cause them to get cocky and lose in playoffs.

But all it takes is a key player to get hurt and then all bets are off. If Seattle goes to Super Bowl I will root for the AFC team. We have one more week to go, and then postseason games and so much could happen to the players. It's too late for people injured now to heal and get back to 100% percent so this is nail biting time for all those who are still alive.

What happened to the Broncos, they do not look anything like the team at the beginning of the season. If memory serves me, this occurred last year. They game out of the gate, like gang busters, but by the end of the season they weren't as dominating. This year, its not a lack of dominating, but winning, and manning with the those picks, he's just not enjoying the accuracy he had for much of his career.

One of my tweets last night was about how Mannings is not the same Manning he was two years ago.

The Broncos will not make the Super Bowl this year.

I think his injuries, coupled with his age, mean he's fading a lot quicker then Brady. The announcers were falling over each other, fawning how awesome Brady is, and while I'll not disagree he's a great QB and I'm a pats fan. I'd rather listen to the game, then a couple of grown men talk about their man crush.

Yes, the announcers were annoying last night making me cringe. Usually during the Bronco games, I turn on KOA radio here in Denver and listen to those guys announce the game as I watch it.

I forget what game it was this weekend, but the announcers were really getting on my nerves. They were just talking non-stop, even over the referees announcings what penalties were for a given play. They kept going on and on, about crap that I could care less. Give me the play by play with some color interjected, but shut up when the time comes. I watch football not to hear this crap but watch the sport.

As for last night, Gruden is usually good, but I think he talks just to hear himself speak and that gets old. He does have some pearls of wisdom, though.

I think everyone is jumping on the Seahawks bandwagon too much. Yeah they beat arizona, but that team was not the same team they were at the beginning of the season at all, especially with their QB situation. Seahawks however much better than they were at the beginning of the season also.

yer right!

they will, however, lose to the Packers....

Only reason Pats lost to the Packers the first time was because it was Bellichicks first time playing Rodgers. I'm pretty sure he'll find a way to stop him. But man Rodgers was on his game agains the Pats, that was a really impressive performance.

Pats and Jets always play each other hard and /usually/ its a slugfest. I don't see the 17-16 pats win over the jets as a slow down at all for them.

As for the Broncos yesterday, I really expected them to comeback until after that 4th pick. Manning was off that game, but not a huge deal as I see it for them. Now when it comes playoff time though...

I'm no Seahawks fan, but they're back on top. They're just crazy good, I thought they were toast earlier in the year, but they pulled it together and now they are the team to beat (but I don't think anyone can).

If Seattle wins Sunday I don't think the Packers are gonna get the chance to play N.E.

As I recall last year everybody was trash talking Seattle. PED's and all..

Seattle would be 13-2 right now had they not gotten those injuries..

But please keep up the anti-Seattle talk.

It would be wise to be afraid too because if Seattle does have it's mojo back look out.

A repeat..

I'm not anti-seattle. As a matter of fact I
might even change my tune. But for now I'm sticking to my guns .... GB 35 NE 21

Seattle is where they should be if last year was any indication. I don't think most of us want to see them repeat except for Seattle fans. I don't know if a repeat is more impressive with a steady two year period of domination or for Seattle to dominate like they did last year, but have a checkered year this year and have a late regeneration of the team we all saw dominate in the Super Bowl and be the team to beat.

I don't have to like them, and I will fear them for a long time, but if I had to put money on a team it would be Seattle. I agree with maflynn that nobody can beat them. Seattle has only themselves to beat.

i have no problem with them repeating... i don't like them though. but they are good.
vis a vi the RAIDERS, i grew up hating them so i can't just start liking them. i'd rather a good team i dislike win than some half ass team, imho -rams, bucs- go and win as they have in the past.

as for the players, i do like wilson, lynch, and sherman, he he yes sherman.

Ticks me off that Wilson got snubbed in the Pro Bowl.
