Ok. You still have a chance to get non-scalped tickets. They range from ~$4600 for a nosebleed to ~$15k for front-row-second-level-corner-of-the-endzone.

Josh Gordon faces a 1 year ban. This guy is a complete idiot.

ESPN.com said:
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has failed another drug test and now will be subject to a one-year suspension, according to league sources.

Gordon tested positive for alcohol, a source said, confirming a report by Pro Football Talk. The failed test is the latest in a long line of setbacks for Gordon, whose future in Cleveland and the NFL now will be in question.

Hahahahahaha... Isn't this true and heck, it would be commuted early so he would be able to play sooner than later!

What a freaking idiot.

He drank and smoked himself out of the NFL. In all honesty from my own dealings with alcohol, he probably has an underlying issue like anxiety/depression causing his urges to drink and use. I was the same way until I was diagnosed with depression and prescribed meds for it.

Which makes me wonder about the treatment he was "supposed" to get or if that was even brought into the picture with him.

I mean heck, you would think, I don't know at this point, the Browns would be sending him to treatment centers, doctors, etc to make sure their investment would be able to play and function!

This GQ article is about to throw major **** at the fan. And it doesn't look good if you want Patriots punishment.

Kraft has vigorously defended Goodell's eye-popping $44 million pay package, and in the wake of the TMZ leak, he personally called owners and lobbied them to issue statements backing the commissioner, according to a senior league source. So large is Kraft's sway with Goodell that one veteran NFL executive likes to call him "the assistant commissioner."

The Browns may have done that stuff. The problem is, you can't fix stupid.

I think the outcome of "deflategate" is going to be a lot more about the complete lack of evidence the league finds that there was deliberate tampering. Note that I'm not saying the Patriots are for-sure innocent. I've felt all along that, yeah, they probably did this. Of course it's being wildly overblown by an overzealous media that hates Belichick.

Consider: earlier in the season, both the Vikings and Panthers were caught on camera heating up game balls because it was so cold. Rules state you can't alter the game balls in any way once they've been checked by the refs. The league was so furious with these two teams for such a flagrant violation of the rules that they...sent them a reminder.

IMO, the league would have investigated quietly and told the Patriots to cut the crap if someone hadn't leaked the story to a hostile media (Indy Star). Once it was out in public, and because it's the Patriots, who do have a history, they had to make a big deal about it.

I really don't think Belichick would have done that presser on Saturday if he knew there was a chance the team would be found guilty, because then Goodell has to come down even harder on him for lying (that's why he suspended Payton in NO for bountygate - the lying). It sure helps that there are new reports that state 10 of the 11 balls found in violation were more like 1psi below the rule minimum, and multiple scientists have come forward (including the chair of the physics dept at Boston College...a Bills fan) to say a 1 psi drop due to temp is more than possible. It's also very possible that the Colts' balls dropped the same amount (or a bit less - the Patriots had a much higher TOP in the 1st half...their balls were out on the field and the Colts' were sitting in a bag on the sideline, not getting rained on), and so they were still legal by the end of the 1st half, but lower than when they started.

All that being said, right now I do think the Patriots did something, it's just been way overblown.

Let's talk about the game and how it will come out.

The headsmart labs video pretty much convinced me, but more that Brady likes his at 12.5 and Luck prefers 13.5. Brady's at the lower limit and of course the temp change can lower pressure so let's move on.

I don't like cheaters and if someone was found to have cheated, then render punishment.

As for the game based on last games of both teams it can come down to an unknown factor that wins the game. Seattle has a usually robust offense and a scarier offense. The Pats are up there in output with Manning's banner year Broncos offense which put up crazy numbers.

Just like the Pats D was the key in eking out a win against Baltimore during the playoffs, we (or the Pats as I will root for them next Sunday) have to go better than usual with the defense. Going into 4th both the Ravens and Pats were tied but later in quarter, the rush on Flacco not letting up until the end, blocking running lanes, and interception became the key plays of the game. The Pats have to be better than usual again and stop the beast mode and stop Russell.

With two weeks rest everybody will play to level but Pats have to have something extra in tank on defense. They have to play "better" than if at Foxboro. If that happens then Pats will win the Super Bowl.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...tchup-patriots-must-contain-seahawks-run-game

and bleacher report poll:

Who wins?
Patriots
46.5%
Seahawks
53.5%
Total votes: 3,188

It's likely to be as close as the poll so winning team will probably win by less than a touchdown.

Pats (21) - Seahawks (17) and guessing or hoping for relatively good shutdown of Lynch

If the pats win they will have an asterisk for this super bowl and probably should have one for at least 2 of their other super bowl wins.

based on what? the taping rule was changed in 06/07. and lol..why would this superbowl be tainted. has there been ANY evidence that the pats tampered with the balls?

Don't bother, he's a known Pats hater (and probably still bitter about his team's collapse last week). Logic doesn't apply. The Patriots are evul cheaterz!

Pats have landed in Arizona! Here we go. Hoping for some actual football analysis going forward.

I'm not bitter about the collapse of the Hawk against the Packers.

The game lasts 60 minutes.

Let's all remember that even though I've predicted a Patriot win 35-20

Bill Nye said Belichick's explanation didn't make any sense.
So did Neil deGrasse Tyson.

I expect Belicheck to take a currently popular dodge: "Well, I'm not a scientist, but... "

Which makes me wonder about the treatment he was "supposed" to get or if that was even brought into the picture with him.

After one of his previous violations, Gordon checked himself into a treatment facility and then checked himself out five days later. He's in denial. And so, I think, is his drinking buddy, Johnny Football, who was reported to be "drunk off his ass" the final Sunday of the season and whom one of his teammates called "a 100% joke".

I'm a Browns fan, and just when things are starting to improve a little, we get this crap again. Enough. This team has much more important work to do than pay attention to the constant distractions of these two irresponsible semi-adults. I don't want them here any more.

Why would you be bitter - your team won?

Why are you responding as if you're einmusiker? You're a 'Hawks fan, are you not?

Yes I am..

But after 4 days of back and forth I have become gun shy so to speak.

Good luck to your team.

Speaking if which. It looks like the NFL has found a patsy :

http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...sing-on-patriots-locker-room-attendant-012615

FOX Sports has learned that the NFL has zeroed in on a New England Patriots locker-room attendant in connection with the scandal of improperly inflated footballs used in the AFC championship game against the Indianapolis Colts.
The person of interest was already interviewed by the league. The NFL is trying to determine whether any wrongdoing by this individual occurred, sources tell FOX Sports.
There is surveillance video showing the attendant taking the footballs from the official's locker room into another room at Gillette Stadium before bringing them out to the field, sources tell FOX Sports.

So did Neil deGrasse Tyson.

I'm not sure what NDT is talking about. He mentioned in a tweet the 16% difference in pressure when it's clearly not that, it's a 7% difference in pressure taking into account absolute pressure with the atmosphere.

Bill Nye hasn't be relevant in the scientific community ever since he started appearing on shows to debate creationists. Everyone knows its a complete waste of time but people just bask in the spotlight.

I'm curious that neither of you mentioned that 2 separate MIT scientists did separate studies and showed that their results agree with Belichick. Curious indeed

Anybody else watching liar liar pants on fire on ESPN? You know what they advise the guilty... Deny deny deny

Wow, how old are you? And that's also what innocent people do. Sure hope you never have to be judged guilty until proven innocent.

Good luck to yours. Hope it's a good game.

The NFL has zeroed in on a New England Patriots locker room attendant who allegedly took the AFC Championship Game balls from the officials' locker room to another area on the way to the field, Fox Sports reported, citing sources.

According to Fox Sports, the league has interviewed him and has video.

The league is still gauging if any wrongdoing occurred, but he is a strong person of interest, according to the report.
So ya.
