Absolutely. This extra month is torture. And the annoying thing about all the mock drafts is that every person doing them literally has a different one each day. So annoying, and most of them will all be wrong anyway.

Agreed. This extra month didn't make me watch mire coverage, in fact, it made me watch even less.

A month and a half ago, the Texans HAD to take Johnny Manziel. Now it's pretty evident he will not be playing in Houston next season.

I'm more interested in Round 2 if the Texans don't trade down. Maybe there's a chance Teddy Bridgewater will be on the board still.

What they're going to do is still a mystery. I almost get the sense that even if they wanted him, they don't want to take him with the #1 pick. I wouldn't be surprised if they traded the pick, because they're making it seem like they don't want Clowney either.

That's a lot of money to spend on passrushers. I would hope they trade down and grab a quarterback.

I agree. I just hope if they trade the pick and move down, they don't screw it up and take the wrong guy. But this is a QB league and they need a QB.

And selfishly, I'd love to see if Johnny Manziel will be successful. At the very least, he'd be a lot more entertaining to watch than Ryan Fitzpatrick. And if they don't upgrade their line, they're going to need someone who can run for his life...

If they don't pick him and he turns out to be the real deal, Aggies everywhere are going to be unbearable.

Seems like all these teams are going after the Seattle defense way. Defensive players mostly so far. They aren't gonna leave anybody for Seattle to pick.

Ahh..the cost of winning the Super Bowl .

Manziel falling like a rock.

I think a lot of it is just the talent in this draft.

What a BIG let down, Manziel to Cleveland Browns:eek:

The 2013 Cleveland Browns season was the franchise's 65th season as a professional sports franchise and its 61st season as a member of the National Football League. They failed to improve on their 5–11 record from 2012, finishing the year at 4-12 their sixth consecutive 11+ loss season

I bet Manziel is happy. The supposed number one pick goes number 22 after another QB ?

Makes me wonder if this isn't rigged. I've always thought the draft was.

He was never the number 1 pick, that was the ESPN hype machine. At best he was a 10.

Blake Bortles the QB from my Alumni goes 3rd to the Jaguars. I'm very excited!

Great pick by the Jaguars. Bortles has a lot going for him talent wise and he will be a hometown boy to hopefully put some butts in their stadium

Great pick by Green Bay tonight. Not just saying that cause I'm a Bama fan but they need some HELP bad in the secondary. Hope HaHa Clinton-Dix works out

I can't see how he is happy, the hype had perverted his expectations to something that was not realistic. His own hype and media attention I'm sure scared away others, i.e., is he more dedicated to his football craft or marketing his image.

Not only going so late in the draft but also because he went to the browns. I'm sure if he thought he'd sink to near the bottom of the first round, he would have not entered the draft but his handlers I'm sure convinced him as a heisman trophy winner he'd be #1 or near the top. ESPN loves to hype things and he was their current favorite so that didn't help matters

I will say this is good news for the browns fans, but almost surely creates a QB controversy. The fans will want to see him play immediately, though he's probably better suited to learning the offense and getting prepared for playing the NFL - just my $.02

Agreed. People don't seem to get that. Houston would have been overdrafting badly to get him and there wasn't a great deal of quarterback need in the first round.

He's completely fine. Sure, he won't be making $20 million, but he still has his Nike deal.

At least some people realize this because the pub I was in last night, the tin-foil hats came on and theories surrounding him not being the #1 pick was hilarious. I wasn't sure he wouldn't be #1 but after he wasn't, it was obvious he'd be sitting for a while. He did well keeping composed though. It was fairly painful to watch him after each announcement. ESPN really didn't help matters by panning to him when the picks were announced.

I'm not sure, you look at football players like Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers and they used the lower draft selection as motivation to show people how wrong they were for bypassing them.

I think image is everything to Manziel and being picked so low has got to bother him. Sure he's putting on a happy face but he realizes that he was just picked by one of the most dysfunctional organizations in the NFL (except for the Raiders).
