2016 Macbook Pro Issue - High Pitched Keyboard Clicking Sound

Keep us posted on what the "fix" is. Also, if you have the name of the adviser you are working with it may help others so they can get in touch or refer Apple support to his knowledge of this issue.
That means Apple, or at least the part you're dealing with, does see the clicky key issue as outside the bounds of expected behavior, something that will be covered under warranty.
I believe it deals with individual keys and not the keyboard as a whole. He informed me that my Apple Store does not perform the repair, and that it will have to be sent out again (sigh) I then told him I could drop it off tonight so I can get it as early into next week as possible, no appointments left (sigh) not happy with that customer service at all. They should be going above and beyond to fix the problem and get our machines back in our hands as soon as possible. So I will be making trip #7 to apple for this computer tomorrow...it makes me nervous to send it out though, with some of the experiences people have been having there.
Yea, take pics of your MBP before sending it off. Mine was the one with damage to the underside and screen, hence a new one is being sent to me as we speak. Advance replacement, so I can migrate my data over to the new system then send the old one back. I can't be down for 5-7 days. 7 trips to the store, that is crazy. I seriously hope my replacement system is flawless, I'll be contacting my senior adviser again promptly if it is not! Maybe we should all be emailing tcook@apple.com expressing our frustrations.

While I had my '3' keycap off I did some playing around and found some very interesting behavior with the plastic key cup. Wasn't sure if anyone else has noticed this so I captured it on video. If I struck the area outside of center, it produced the loud noise (only sounded like this when heated above 50C, at least on my machine). If I hit it direct center, it behaved as expected.
It's hard to see in the video, but my wild guess is somehow the layers of plastic react differently when heated.

Just dropped off the computer at Apple, genius said it should go out this afternoon. Will let everyone know what this fix it!
You know, according to this video if someone were to just replace a key cap because there having issues with the loud clicks, how would that really fix the problem? It seems from this video the issue is underneath the key cap not the cap itself.
I was just thinking of the poster here that ordered a new key to replace the one they broke, how would that fix any of the noise the key was originally making? I guess I don't understand. When a key is replaced, is it the entire underneath section that's replaced or just the key cap?

It doesn't fix the noise problem at all as it seems to emanate from that plastic key cup part.
My 3 key was also 'sticking'. When removing to investigate I also broke the key. A replacement hinge fixed the sticking, not the sound. Sorry if I confused.
That was a couple weeks ago, and it isn't clear Apple was aware of the new issues he had, despite their claim of testing, so it may not be in conflict with what's being posted here now.
2017.3.25 is only 2 weeks ago, and in this thread still many case were reported.

I don't think Sanpete is denying that an issue is present, unless I missed something? Clearly 29 pages here shows some systems are effected by this unique issue, when heated up. I believe my video in post 707 clearly illustrates the plastic layers (key cup) is producing the annoying sound.
Just made another Genius Bar appointment as after a few days with my replacement keyboard, my 2 key does the loud click all the time even when not warm/hot. Blah.

I ordered my refurbished MacBook Pro 2016 2.9/460/1TB and found this topic a few minutes later... haha I guess I will have the same issue... I still have my MacBook pro mid 2015 so in case it's horrible I can return it.
I did not read all the pages of the topic, but I read that long and hard pressing on the issued key could solve the issue, right? also someone tried iKlear and it worked, shall I buy some?
I read that if you press right in the centre of the key it does not make the noise, right ?
I have seen also people saying it disappears after a few days/week.. could someone confirm please?
I'm a bit scared because it took me 2 weeks to decide to get this MacBook and if I have this issue I will be so disappointed...

No, this issue is related with a plastic part in a keyboard and heat.

Yes and No, while in under-load (high temperature), you will hear the noise, but when macbook pro is not under-load, most of noise will disappear. Unfortunately, just most of... few key or one key is might affected and will be defetive.

Most people either don't have this issue or it's mild enough that it doesn't bother them, so don't worry yet. You can get some idea how prevalent concern about the problem is from this poll about the keyboard:

The keyboards may all have some lack of uniformity of sound, but not enough to bother most owners. Some keyboards are worse than others, and some people are more sensitive to it than others, it appears.
I tested 3 different Macbook Pro, and there are people who are having worse experiences more than I had.
Yup, the record here is 13 or 14, as I recall. That doesn't conflict with what I said, though.

This is the 7th MacBook Pro that I replaced. "H" Key makes a noise compare with other Keys.
Moreover, while MacBook Pro is under-load, more other keys have a same issue.
1st MacBook Pro had noises on " ', 1, 2, 3, 4" Keys.
2nd MacBook Pro had a noise on "Enter" Key.
3rd MacBook Pro had a noise on "Caps Lock" Key.
4th MacBook Pro had a noise on "Delete" Key.
5th MacBook Pro had a noise on "Q" and "9" Keys.
6th MacBook Pro had a noise on "Z", "Delete", and "Tab" Keys.
I think he's either exceptionally unlucky or exceptionally sensitive to clickiness. I can hear how it could be annoying.
