I think he probably would avoided the suspension, had he not continually did things like that. He exhibited a pattern of behavior that leads credence to the earlier complaint. The old saying where there is smoke there is fire.

Agreed. I don't think there would have been an investigation at all if the incident with the girlfriend had been an isolated one.

It's probably "unfair", but I get why the NFL did it. Like @ross1998 said, the accumulation of all the little dumb stuff was going to get out of control eventually. Better to correct the behavior now.

me and my friend are doing a private draft kings league... it will probably standard rules and you can choose to play or not each week. Let me know if anyone is interested and I’ll provide the link

Edit* it will be 5 bucks each week

In a Twilight Zone move, the Denver Broncos have resigned Brock Osweiler to a one year deal.

Un-fracking-believable! This is just beyond an idiotic move by the Broncos.

Yeah some funny decisions went on today in football.

Kinda dissapointed seahawks traded Cassius Marsh to patriots for high round draft picks. He was always in the right place and right time on special teams and pretty good on defense too.

I think they needed someone because Lynch is injured.... Further proof that Kaepernick is being blackballed... There is no universe where Osweiler is a better backup option than Kaepernick

Osweiler does have experience with broncos offense.
Kasper nick is either demanding too high or a salary or gm's are scared of fan backlash. This the guy the wore police/pig socks to a game.

agreed!

kap should be playing.

also, beliefs aside, he can say and react how he wants/feels.

I agree with his statement, not his method/vehicle for voicing his feelings.

Also, brace yourselves, I think we should stop playing the anthem at all sporting events.

I think we should keep the anthem and everyone needs to respect the flag while doing the anthem. It's a great reminder that there are troops fighting for our freedom so we can relax Sundays and watch football.

I also don't see why he chooses to voice his feelings during the national anthem. He would have had no problems if he voiced his political agendas during postgame interviews.
He also came from a white rich family. I strongly doubt he even experienced racism.

When did we start p laying the anthem before sporting events? right after the pearl harbor attacks? so it's been done a relatively long time. it would be hard to drop i suppose. if we did that folks would want a prayer.... then we'd have people not respecting that and three or four different types of prayers... so... meh!

I know this is the NFL thread, but did y'all see what Josh Rosen and UCLA just did the TAMU??

I think I know who the first overall pick will be next year. The hype doesn't do him justice. I guess he'll be a Jet after they finish tanking this year :p

Somewhere, an Atlanta Falcon player is saying "I know how it feels...". LOL

Just a heads up but the eliminator and pick'em challenges are back for another season!

I just signed up for the Eliminator Challenge. Hey MacRumors NFL fans, we really need some more people to play the Eliminator with us. Please join up and we'll see who can outpick who. We've done this for several years now thanks to @MacNut and we always have a good time with it.

Well all of the talk of 16-0 is not gone by the boards and tbh, I'm happy about that. I have to think the superbowl hangover and talk about how great patriots are that they're able to go 16-0 got in their heads. I'm not taking anything away from the Chiefs, they beat the Pats but it just shows you how hard it is to win in the NFL

I told my son, yesterday as I was driving him to school, that the Chiefs would beat the Patriots. He looked at me like I had just grown a horn out of the center of my head. Got some payback this morning!

So, the real questions from the game are:

1. Is age finally catching up to Brady?
2. Is Hunt the real deal?
3. Are the Chiefs going to be a real contender this season?
4. How serious are the injuries to Berry and Amandola?

The Patriots defense sucks. I do think Brady is slowing down but last night was a whole team collapse. Next up for the Patriots is New Orleans where many thought they would lose. So will the Pats be 0-2?
