Back when Troy Aikman/Michael irving/Emmett Smith played for the cowboys, Everyone knew how the Cowboys would run a given play, they just couldn't stop them, they were that good. I think Carroll needed more of that mentality, with Lynch, and the ball on the 1 yard line. Why get cute, or try to get confuse the pats when Lynch could have just pounded the ball into the end zone.
Lunch was statically bad in the end zone that season. Nothing is a guaranteed win with 3 downs and 1 yard left.

Nothing is, but if you can't punch it in from the one to win the most important game with one of the best running backs then something is wrong

I don't know why the Miami Dolphins decided that playing a quarterback with a partial tear was a good idea, it can only get worse not better. If they opted for surgery at the end of last season, he may have been all but ready for the season opener. Now it looks like he'll be out of action for a while

Yeah, there was a lot of chatter of bringing Cutler back, I think its a smart move, but I think Miami franchise blew it back in December when they opted for a QB with a partial torn ACL (which won't heal) vs. repairing it
Seattle would have taken him had he not wanted the millions he asked for.
He can get on a team as long as he's willing to be back-up and take a lot less money.
Given his pro-castro stance, he's pretty much hated in south Florida. I can't see him going to the Dolphins for that one reason.

The problem with the NFL right now is the complete inconsistency with regard to punishment. Elliott needs to be an adult, but there are a bunch of uneven punishments being dished out year to year.
This^^^ I'm a seahawks fan but Ezekiel Elliot got screwed over on this one. It was found that his girlfriend lied about it and her friends told investigators that she told them to lie.

Agreed. The NFL is very inconsistent when it comes to disciplinary action.
I think he probably would avoided the suspension, had he not continually did things like that. He exhibited a pattern of behavior that leads credence to the earlier complaint. The old saying where there is smoke there is fire.
