2020 MacBook Air i5 is $749 at Costco

Would you guys be happy with the base model for $749+tax?

It's $850 for me after tax+fee, and $1080 after tax for the i5/8/256 with edu

I'd be paying $230 more for quad core i5 if they end up sending the base..
 
Maybe let's not stir the pot.. maybe we're lucky and get it..but if we ask customer service about it they may cancel all our orders!

I might keep it... I want an Air that's twice as fast as my 2015 i7 Air though. I need a 512GB ssd too... bah.

The i5 base really is in a sweet spot for a Mac, finally a large ssd without having to spend over $1500. Since it's a base model you'll probably be able to find it on sale eventually too.
 
What makes me at least somewhat still hopeful although not really is the fact they don't even have a i5/512 Space Grey option available lol

I cant imagine they will send a Mac mini they don't regularly stock, just to stick it to people that thought they might be getting a good deal... but I dunno.

nah the threads still going bc people that got an order in are still up in the air.

but the original link error 404's, and there is no space grey i5/8/512 listed even where u see there is a gold and silver
 
Now the silver i5/8/512 is no longer showing up like the space grey. Only gold showing up for the regular $1249 price

Maybe that's because they are now sold out of the silver? I'd imagine they would have space gray, but it's not showing up because they all sold during this snafu.

Perhaps this error was small enough that it flies under the radar, or they don't bother to cancel the orders.

a boy can dream! I hope we get some kinda update tomorrow

the item number 122...does only correspond with the new airs.

the Mac mini thing is weird but the item# would be somewhat in line with the new models so who knows

I’m hoping we see some update for someone today

can’t sit in order received status forever can it?
 
It’s not that straight forward tho

the item # is close to the other 512gb SKU’s and none of the 512’s are listed anymore even for backorder whereas the 256 are
 
Will probably see updates next week. The base model (all colors) are backordered until 4/6 to 4/10
 
Anyone still hopeful we won’t get shipped the Mac mini they don’t sell and will either deliver or cancel? Haha

the original i5/512 models said available 3/30
 
Just got a cancellation too

$50 Costco card ain’t too shabby

it’s no $750 i5/512 tho :/

can I use that towards a membership?
