2020 Macbook Air order status

UK Silver i5/16/512

Ordered 1st April
Delivery window 22nd to 27th April
Processing: 13 days
Preparing to ship: 13th April
Shipped (UPS): 15th April

New delivery date: 21st April.
 
Anybody with DHL to the UK seen movement? Mine is still saying delivery tomorrow (16th) but hasn’t landed in Eindhoven yet.....

Yes, if it actually turns up! Fingers crossed.

It's strange that the Apple Store iOS app still shows the delivery window as 9th - 20th April, but the Apple UK Store website says it will be delivered on 16th April.

Mine was the same this morning. However I got the text from the Apple Store saying it was out for delivery.
 
I ordered the i5/8gb/256 in space grey on April 4th and have yet to get past the processing phase. I still can’t tell if this is standard waiting time before it goes to the shipment phase based on what I am reading on here.
I’m on the East Coast of the US.
This is my 1st Mac after being a lifetime Windows user for 20+ years. Getting edgy waiting. I would buy it from Best Buy except I am cheap and don’t want to loose the 3 percent cashback on my Apple Card and I am not that worried about upgrading the hard drive to 512gb for $200 more.

There seems to be a fairly long wait in the "processing" phase. I got an i5/16/256 SG and it took 9 days for it to get past it to "preparing to ship" / credit card charge.

Don’t fret, my guess is that it should change status in the next few days.

I’ve had many Apple products over the years and Apple never once failed to deliver when they said they would. Usually earlier.

Thanks, haha at 38 years old I’m like a little kid waiting for my cereal box toy to arrive that I mailed in for. Not sure how many of you on here are old enough to remember those days. Anyway super excited to try a MacBook.

Definitely old enough to remember those!

I’m sure you’ll be delighted with your new Mac. I switched 13 years ago and I’ve never looked back.

Same same same! I had problems sleeping last night! Those cereal box toys were the best! Or the ones they used to actually hide in the boxes!
 
Mine went "Out for Delivery" yesterday and never showed up. Now when I check tracking on UPS it says "Delay: Emergency Situation or Severe Weather". The weather is just fine in my city.

I called UPS and they said they have too many packages to deliver and that to expect my package by the end of the week! It's been in my city since yesterday (Tuesday) at 3am!

Alberta, Canada. They just have backlog of packages to deliver. I shouldn't complain given all that's happening in the world but what sucks is my status was actually "Out for Delivery"... got my hopes up!

I am a UPS driver and I can tell you we are absolutely destroyed. We are being sent out with Christmas volume everyday. Many times during super busy periods and even non busy periods packages end up on the wrong trucks and can’t be relocated to the correct truck the same day. I could go into more specifics but in a nutshell it is crazy busy for UPS. As long as your package aka MacBook doesn’t get lost you will get it.

That puts things into perspective destroyedreason. Thanks for the info. It’s easy for those of us in lockdown not to know or appreciate exactly what’s going on out there.
