Ordered i7/16/512 SG for delivery to FL US April 22nd.
Delivery quoted April 30 - May 7.
Yet to see the pending charge.

Read through the last few thread pages and looks like i7 aren't doing so well on the delivery window. Will update when I see the pending charge.

Delivery the UK
Ordered on 24th
Card charged pending on 30 April
Finally preparing for shipping on 4 May - status changed overnight

I predict a delivery on the 12th but let's see!
Which spec did you get? And when’s your expectedly delivery date?
Mines coming to the UK too so hopefully should change to preparing for shipping in the next day or 2! My card was charged pending on 2nd may so I seem a few days behind you.
Keep us updated.

18 days wouldn‘t be too bad. I did switch back to an i5 (as predicted). Delivery date is 29th May 🤔So 26 days in total from ordering..

Sorry I should have noted. It's a gold i5/16/256.

I hope I ordered right! only thing i'm worried about is the 256 storage. I have 125g left on my current 256 MBP which I got in 2014 but I'm going to try to clear out more stuff.

I don't have a concrete estimated delivery date because it hasn't shipped as yet. I'm basically guessing based on what I've seen on this thread.

Yours might go to preparing soon! I note some of the North American buyers here seem to have gotten quicker delivery dates. It may be because there's more delivery links going on there.

What's your final spec now?! are you i5/8/256? and your final order date? (well your last order date?)

Thanks!
You should be ok with 256GB, throw everything on one drive that’s possible!

I’ve read that the i7’s are taking longer but I hope mine goes to preparing soon.

Keep us updated with your deliver estimates and shipping courier, intrigued as to whether it will be UPS or TNT, FedEx etc.

My i7 is now for more than a week in status „shipment information received“. 🙄 Apple says delivery date 8th of may.
do you think they are waiting for some more i7 to send them together? That would be horrible...

Yes, i5/8/256 in SG. Ordered 3rd - delivery originally said 21-29 May but now just says 29th. I Can get Apple education store discount so the i5 comes in around £20 less than the standard Apple Store RRP for the i3. Given I last bought a Macbook in 2009 it’s likely going to be a long term purchase so probably better with the i5 ? Little distracted by the thermal / battery reports on the i5 but then I’m not going to be doing intensive stuff (as things stand).

I think it's a good idea getting the i5. The thermal issues I think have been blown out of proportion. For normal everyday work it will be great. It doesn't sound like you'll be stressing it and if you are, one should get an MBP anyway. For longevity I think the i5 will be great. the ram? I don't know but I got it myself. It just made me feel better. I think it's more psychological in my case. I got a 4GB MBP 13 (and it was upped from 2GB), and in 2014 I got a late 2013 MBP that had 8GB. So I'm thinking 16GB isn't the worst idea 6 years later.

i was willing to spend for the 512GB storage and i figured money better spent on ram than extra storage.

Update: ordered on 26/04, Card charge pending 01/05, now changed to preparing to ship this morning!
Estimate is still 15-21/05.
i7/8GB/500GB, delivery to UK.

I think you’ve done the right thing re Ram over storage. icloud storage is relatively cheap so there’s always that. My 2009 MBP has 2GB of ram 😅

Completely agree, however i went with the 8GB Ram 500GB option and upgraded to i7, not sure if i should have gone for 16GB Ram upgrade now over the i7 upgrade...

Location: UK (Central England)
Spec: i5 / 16 / 512

Ordered: 16 April, predicted delivery date 5 - 13 May
Card Charged: 24 April
Preparing to Ship: 26 April

Hoping to get it this week.

So to help any UK members in the thread, here's my full delivery breakdown for my Space Grey i5 / 16 / 512 MBA:

Ordered: 16 April, predicted delivery date 5 - 13 May
Card Charged: 24 April
Preparing to Ship: 26 April
Shipped: 27 April
Hong Kong: 29 April
Dubai: 30 April
Koeln / Cologne: 30 April
Stanford-le-Hope, Essex: 1 May
Tamworth: 2 May
Delivered: 4 May.

I'm working from home like many, so am currently resisting the temptation to open up. Should be a great replacement for my 2016 retina Macbook, a beautiful machine whose lack of processor grunt was starting to show.

It was shipped with UPS, right?

Is anybody here who's MacBook has been delivered with DHL?

My first MBA 2020 came via DHL and looked something like this:

23 March: ordered (delivery window 9-20 April)
31 March: dispatched. (Tracking showed Eindhoven, which didn’t change until 6 April).
6 April: Received text stating delivery tomorrow.
Also on 6 April tracking showed Amsterdam - Leipzig.
7 April: Depart Leipzig, Luton, Heathrow, Gatwick.
7 April 1225: Delivered to my address from Gatwick depot.

Hope this is useful!

Currently awaiting another MBA 2020, due to be delivered by UPS tomorrow (currently at Stanford-Le-Hope).

Just in addition-dispatch email from Apple said delivery on 14th April, so it came a week early.

There’s still a chance! My previous MBA 2020 order came via DHL. Tracking said Eindhoven for a while then out of the blue I got a text from DHL said they were going to deliver it the next day (a week earlier than Apple had suggested)! So you could still get it tomorrow or Tuesday.

You can slowly start celebrating your & UPS victory! 🤣 Still no update from DHL.
Apple estimated delivery date is 11.05 which is not that far now.
