Carr won't be anything, he left the team, to "step back."
I really like and respect DC. What a shame. I've no idea what has happened. I still feel like he could a great QB.

I really do blame the lack of consistency, HC, OC, in the RAIDER organization for his current state.

I wouldn't be surprised if DC made fools of us all with a new team. :(

Agreed. I think Derek is a good QB, but the constant change over of management has taken a toll on his play.

I didn't know what you meant until I saw this: Raiders bench Derek Carr; QB to step away from team

My take, is he's a solid QB who you can generally rely on, but he's not the quarterback to elevate the team, or take a team to the next level. At this point in his career, I think he's only going to be a place holder for a team as they prep their new young hotshot that just got drafted.

Wow... While the Raiders have been lackluster this season, didn't see them doing this. After reading this quote:

"Sources told Fowler that the Raiders made this move in part to maintain Carr's health and keep their options open this offseason, including for a potential trade. The sources did note that the option for Carr to return in 2023 is still on the table."

I wonder if his days as a Raider are done, especially if the backup QB comes out and wins over the players and crowd.

I read the articles from Profootballtalk and they were saying when will Carr be benched and forecasting it was going to happen - like days before it did

Yep, if he fails to pass a physical by early 2023 the raiders are on the hook for something like 40 million guaranteed. If they cut him early 2023, he only represents 5 million in dead money. Cutting him is a no-brainer.

Wow... Profootballtalk had it pegged!

Yup, with what you are saying, dude is done as a Raider. I wouldn't be surprised after the last game or shortly after the last game he is cut.

ESPN is stating he's not even in the facility, they don't want him in the weight room dropping a dumbell on his foot - that would be a 40 million dollar dumbell

HAHAHAHAHA... Could you imagine. Guys, I slipped and fell exiting the facility. Looks like someone is going to get paid!

And he is sitting at home counting his 40 million...

Cowboys beat the Titans.

Josh Dobbs got the start for the Titans. Loved him at UT.

Dobbs 20/39 232 1TD 1INT

Not the worst debut by a QB in the NFL. I do like that Willis kid too...

Anyone have any buffering issues with the game last night?

In the second half I had quite a few times where it would stop and I would get the spinning circle and then it would be fine for a few minutes. Tested my connection and was getting 91 down via WiFi so the connection was most likely not the issue.

We were watching on Prime and our feed was fine.

I did have a huge problem streaming THE MASSIVE WEDNESDAY yesterday. When I was watching on my macbook there were no issues. When I moved it into living room to watch on the big screen it was all lag time and spinners... meh! But that was on the iFollow app/service. Oddly enough was actually closer to the wifi signal when we moved it.

Wasn't watching football, but it was going that weird thing where it just goes black in the middle of a movie stream, and I have to hit the back button, and then it's fine again.

I used to have poor quality for games (exiting and re-entering usually fixed it), but the in the last 2-3 weeks, it's been perfect.

After what could only be described as a fantastic bowl season for college, today's slate of games for the NFL, appear more ho hum - Even with playoff implications.

It's hard to say before they play. For example, Green Bay vs. Minnesota could be a dud if the Vikings blow out the Packers. But, if the Packers find a way to win, it's likely to be a nail-biter. Seems like a toss-up as to which of those two scenarios might happen.

Patriots v Dolphins interesting for the playoffs.
This one is really tough to pin down. No Tua - they've not played well without him, but they've been losing with him in recent weeks. I can't put my finger on it, but the Pats are just off, and do wonder if they're going to show up for the game or not.

Pats defense did them proud I think, keeping Tyreek Hill and Waddle quiet and providing a few interceptions. Pats in with a shout of the play-offs, although I don’t expect them to get very far this year.

Bucs won and are through, but they are probably the weakest team in the play-offs and did not look convincing at all. It looks like Brady is grinding out results, no real fluency to the offense.

The dolphins did not play well. Losing Bridgewater later in the game didn't help. The Dolphins late season swoon is nearly complete. They still may be make the playoffs but their destiny is now out of their control. They'll need other teams to win/lose.

As for the Pats, its a good win, not a pretty win, but a good win. Next up is Buffalo, the question will be, will the Bill's starters be rested or will they play. I'm betting they'll all be playing.

And …drumroll… Green Bay blew out Minnesota! I did not see that coming, nor did most of the pundits. That's why they play the games.

I think it will all come down to Home Field. If they win against the Bengals tonight, then they have the luxury of seeing what KC does on Saturday. If KC loses and Home Field is locked up no matter what, then maybe.

But as long as Home Field is on the line, they will play everybody.

How are the Steelers and Packers still alive for the playoffs?
