How are the Steelers and Packers still alive for the playoffs?
The packers win, they're in and they're playing Detroit. So its looking really likely they'll be securing the last wild card spot.

The Steelers are in the hunt. They need NE to lose and since they're playing the Bills, its likely they will. The dolphins are playing the Jets and while the Jets have a losing record they've not played horrible lately. I think they'll be amped up to play the spoilers and given how bad the dolphins are looking. If the Steelers can take care of business against the Browns then they're in.

As for the Pats, its a good win, not a pretty win, but a good win. Next up is Buffalo, the question will be, will the Bill's starters be rested or will they play. I'm betting they'll all be playing.
They haven't locked up the #1 seed yet, no holding back.

Well if they lose today, they might rest their starters. Tonight's game is gonna huge, it will go a long way in determing #1 seed. I gotta see who wins the tie breaker if it's 3 way between Buffalo, Cincy and KC.

The dolphins did not play well. Losing Bridgewater later in the game didn't help. The Dolphins late season swoon is nearly complete. They still may be make the playoffs but their destiny is now out of their control. They'll need other teams to win/lose.

I remember earlier this season when the media was declaring Miami the new AFC East powerhouse, while the Bills were finished.

Well, to quote Aaron Rodgers: "just relax." :D

I think Cinci wins the tiebreaker because they will have beaten both the Bills and the Chiefs.

I am on the verge of winning my fantsasy league championship. I need 16.65 points total, between Joe Mixon and Tee Higgins. Both are projected to score 15 each on their own. So, as a Bills fan, I am conflicted :) I hope the Bills win, but I need Mixon and Higgins to do well. I am hoping for a 50-45 type score.

Buffalo needs this game to have Home Field Advantage in AFC Playoffs! I think the players know and the Coaches are telling that so IMHO everyone will play hard tonight!

The league is in uncharted waters with this situation. How do they move forward.

Wow, awful situation in the MNF game. Hope Damar Hamlin is ok 🙏. Never saw anything like that.
Indeed - my prayers go out to Hamlin.

The hit did not look really devastating or horrible and just to collapse like that is scary.

Definitely a harder hit than it appeared plus placed in the right spot.

Get well #3 !

His online toy drive that he set up has jumped to over $3,000,000.00 ...

You know what's funny, the news stations that are reporting this. I was at the gym this morning and watching the arly morning newscast and they're showing the hit, and reporting what happened - They stop the video, after the hit and as he stood up. They said they're not showing the collapse.

I find that incredibly odd, in that they show the violent take downs, but someone collapsing ought to be avoided? IT wasn't just one news station, as planet fitness had their bank of Tvs showing the news - odd. I don't want to be disrespectful, but I don't think showing the entire video is disrespectful ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After watching the Rose Bowl, something told me not to see "the game of the year",
when I checked the score, just now, I was not surprised, saddened tho.

there were reports of athletes in Europe collapsing during sporting events were some fatal.
this was last March were around 40 suffered heart problems like Hamlin that month and over 400 that year.
A football player from Denmark collapsed on the pitch during an ELP match around that period.

if only we knew what caused these ailments, and may they should dwatch the athletes now?

now to figure out how to OCLP a external drive using Monterey!

It was not. He has probably been hit thousands of times like that over his career. It was a normal NFL play. Just something went wrong.

I wonder if he had some undiagnosed heart issue. Praying for a quick and complete recovery.

Saw a video from a cardiologist who explained that there is a moment in each heartbeat cycle that only lasts a fraction a second, but if there is an impact to the heart at that precise moment, it can cause cardiac arrest.

Here is a link to the Dr.

Not long ago, a Danish soccer player gad to be revived with CPR on the field. He played again.

In 1971, Chuck Hughes, from the Detroit Lions, died on the field.

There's a number of accounts such as these:

Also it seems that some people have longer duration where this type of thing can happen.

As far as what the NFL does with this game (and subsequent ones), who knows. Unf money talks.

Given that, I find it hard to believe the Bills (and maybe the Bengals) would be mentally ready to play Week 18 games much less make this one up.

The NFL said the game would not be played this week, and there have been no schedule changes to week 18 so far.

They could elimnate the Pro Bowl week, move all the playoffs (except the Super Bowl) back a week (only one week break until the Super Bowl, instead of the normal two) and play the Buf-Cin in week "19" that would be created.
