Wow, finished watching SC vs Texas A&M - a tale of two halves. The Aggies could not have played any uglier and horribly in the first half, down 30-3, but came back and beat SC
is that good or bad?
a team stinking then ruling
while the other team ruled than stunk?
but im happy you enjoyed the game
(as vegas and betdotcom did as well!)

they said on the TV that was game 7 WS caliber as a big comeback

Texas A&M: Trooper who pointed at players relieved of duties
I was watching the game, and saw this little episode, glad to see that texas took care of business - its was a stupid action by the trooper.

Wisconsin dropped another game and they're at 3-7 and looks like they'll not see a bowl game this year. The fans were chanting fire Fickell last month, but the AD said last month that he'll be returning in 2026. They keep dropping games, that might not be the case.

The big news is Alabama losing, that alters the landscape at the worst possible time for the crimson tide.

Belichick drops another game, I can't see him moving forward in 2026, but who knows.

Wow! Texas got something correct! Shocker!

I still think I'd give Bellichick one more year. UNC football isn't usually a top 25* contender anyway much less a top 10 team.

*Yeah they get there from time to time but the only real chance was under Mack Brown and even then they weren't that consistent.

Well damn. I didn't think Texas would win, but I did think we'd be more competitive. Maybe we can beat Arkansas, lose to A&M, and then beat whomever we face in our middling bowl game. :p

Some movement on the LSU front. A big booster flew out Lane's family to Louisiana, I think some Ole Miss folks are losing their minds. Speaking of Ole Miss, they gave Lane a deadline (or as one news report put it an ultimatum) of the the Egg Bowl (11/28) to make a decision. I think given the nature of the portal and recruiting, knowing before December gives everyone a chance to pivot and act.

Personally, I think he's great where he's at, though its a smaller school with less resources then Florida or LSU, he has made a home and name for himself. If he goes to LSU, the expectation will be a national championship by 3 (or 4) years or get fired. As for Florida, that school has not been on the national map since Urban Myer, I don't see much good coming from him going there

If I'm Kiffin, there's NFW I'd leave Ole Miss for the dumpster fire that is LSU. There's value in stability.

But I also admit that I'm not wired like a big time CFB coach either.

That's my very thought
Governor interferes with the school and pushes to fire the coach and AD. Governor interferes and pushes (guarantees?) that the next contract will be back loaded with performance incentives instead of paying a lot of money. The school administration back tracked on the firing of Kelly and is now trying to say they're officially firing him for cause, even though no "cause" has been documented. The new President names the asst. AD as acting, then says he's no longer acting but actual. Then a day later turns around and states he's not the permenant AD, then finally changes course again and say that's all a mistake and he will be.

The negotiations were that Kelly wanted 40 million to walk away, they were not budging with their offer of 30 million. Now they have a lawsuit on their hands, and how will a new coach react to that? If it were me, I'd be like - they did that to the last guy, they'll try that nonsense with me when the time comes.

It blows my mind how poorly the situation around LSU has been handled. It's a graduate level course on how to take a proud, top tier football program and turn it into an absolute clown show. 😕

When is Kiffin going to actually deliver a title though?

I suppose he is good, but I'm not seeing that final hurdle being cleared.

I won't argue that he hasn't really been HC at a football relevant school yet, and surely, we can all agree that USC is no longer a college football powerhouse.

LSU could be the one.

And I'd take the LSU job in a heartbeat.

Looks like Virginia Tech has hired James Franklin

What I don't understand is that the deal includes a 9 million dollar settlement from Penn State. Franklin's penn state contract has mitigation language, so any monies from VT will offset the amount from Penn State - why is there a settlement and why is it so low (unless its a 40 million dollar contract with VT)?
