Chargers can make it to the SB this season.
I don't know if they have all of the pieces in place, and tbh, one game does not make a season. We'll see how the other AFC teams fair, like the. Bills, Ravens and of course the Chiefs.

Wow, not sure what to say about the Bills/Ravens game looked epic, though I missed the 4th qtr given the early hour I need to get up.

Its hard to draw some conclusions of the teams and what type of seasons they will have but I think there's some kernels of truth that can be derived.

Mia - looks like they're going to be struggling and McDaniel is most definitely going to be on the hot seat
NYG - Same as Mia, they're probably the weakest team in their division and its going to be a long painful season for them
NYJ - being a jet means stupid things happen and self inflicted wounds cause you to lose. Not sure they could have won the game, but they proved they certainly could lose the game.
Ind - are they that good or the giants that bad? I'm guessing the latter. With the owner on the sidelines with a headset, it looks like we may have another owner who's going to be meddling and interfering with the operational aspect of the team.

I confidently told a few NFL fans that the Broncos (from Denver) will win the AFC west
since their defense is one of the best in the NFL.
yesterday they had a bully ride with a few gifts, but were dominating.

BTW how are you?

Better now that football season is upon us :)

Life is full of surprises, how's it going for you?
good
I started cycling again road bike around my city as I ride over 600 miles per month.
mu  watch that was deemed dead works now for 26 miles tho as the battery gave out today..
im excited for Tahoe but miss my Zen Book but that not ,much.

Im only watching the Broncos or another game if im at a neighbors house
the new rule I really like is the instant replay were they know,
in the booth, the play outcome before a coach challenges.
the season should be fun though.

see you around here.

It was a good starting day for me: Bengals beat the Browns, albeit BARELY and didn't play well at all; my daughters Broncos beat the Titans; Loved the ending of the Bills/Ravens game since with what I read about LaMar Jackson last spring, I'm NOT a Raven's fan. Hey! Even the Raiders won yesterday! How about that?! ;)

I briefly looked at the Bills/Ravens game, and decided to do something else based on the score at the time. Oops.

Tonight, I did more closely watch the Bears do their own version, and lose a game that they should have won.

I'd have to imagine the countdown clock has begun for Mike McDaniel in Miami, with the team regressing and looking unprepared to start the season.

As a Miami fan for the last 30 years, I certainly hope they fire Chris Grier first, and then work their way down.

As a Packers fan myself, couldn't be happier with how this season started

We looked great on both sides of the ball as Parsons made an immediate impact from the first moment he was put out there, and then same with Golden

Kind of happy that we get our short week out of the way right away with getting right back at it against Washington for TNF

I think Chargers are fine, not only based on one game. They can get really far this season. And we all know the Bills are going to dominate the season only to blow it in the playoffs. Ravens, not too sure. If they keep dropping balls, like they did against the Bills, they're not going to get far. Everyone is celebrating the Bills now, but it's actually Henry who lost the game on the Ravens side. There was obviously a lot going on in the last 4 minutes, but I liked the 49ers vs Seahawks game more. Kittle is already out, so I'm not sure how far they'll get this year. With the Niners it always looks like straight to the SB without injuries or going nowhere because they have no players left.

As for surprises this season. Either the Colts are really good or the Dolphins really bad. The Packers vs Lions. And the Raiders won a game.

In the modern NFL, the GM/HC is more likely to be a pairing, and not having them work in tandem, or with both completely on the same page only makes it harder to succeed.

Ross strikes me as a taskmaster, so I think it would be a package deal, going and coming.

Ross strikes me as a taskmaster
He's largely an absentee owner. If you google "Is the owner of the miami dolphins considered an absentee owner". You will get a resounding yes, with the AI portion, and links below that with articles and people whining about how bad the fins are because Ross is uninvolved. I don't even believe he lives in Miami, so he's not even there during the week

With that said, I agree, the GM and HC need to go in one fell swoop, however who is out there? Lack of options has left many owners sticking with a HC longer then they should have. McDaniel's is most certainly playing for his job, but looking at the tools he has at his disposal, its going to be an uphill job. Tua is not the savior the dolphins had hopped he was. If he stays healthy this year, that will be a shock

Agree with all of this...except that he has not been an absentee owner. Remember the first round pick he lost for tampering (trying to get the Broncos coach and Tom Brady)?

That is the only time he seemed active, I have a friend who's a died in the wool dolphins friend - during the brady years its been rough on him :). Anyways, if you bring up Ross, he goes on a rant of him not in touch, involved or even living in Miami to be part of the team's operations.
