That triggered a thought -- "Whatever happened to JaMarcus Russell?"

Then I looked it up… Yeah, checks out. (pun intended)

I guess a case can be made for Derek Carr, if not nothing other than his long tenure.

But their last good QB, was who? Rich Gannon?

A mini rant
I visit ProFootball talk, simply because its not espn and nice to get a different perspective, yet Mike Florio is obsessed with Brady, Belichick, the CBA. He constantly covers these topics to the point of beating a dead horse.

His latest focus has been Brady being in the booth and coaches box. We've mentioned this earlier in the thread, but he keeps harping on it, over and over. Enough is enough.

If I were an opposing fan, I'd almost insist that he keep doing it!

Packers' brain trust went brain dead in OT. Why would they opt to kick instead of receive? The Cowboys D just had a few minutes to catch their breath before OT. Make them play while they're running on fumes. But, noOoooOoo. Opt to kick to give them time to rest up. :rolleyes: The clock management in the last 2 minutes of OT. The play calling in the last 2 minutes.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ You in FG range with plenty of time. Take a few shot at a TD instead of running down the clock with running plays.
The only reason they didn't lose is the lucky doink of the defender's helmet with 1 sec remaining. If the ball sailed pass without hitting, incomplete and 0 time remaining.

YES!! A TIE GAME !!!

It's got to be killing all nfl fans and mostly destroying cobboy fans lol lol lol

I love seeing a game end in a tie.

-Sigh- Geno is trash another 3INT game Mad Max was going wild but a blocked FG to lose the game is always great its the raider way baby, time to dump geno draft a QB next year and see what we can do.. im tired of all these young Qb's coming out looking good and us still just getting old used up players, that or LET AOC cook for a couple years to see if hes really that bad

Dolphins won, but looks like it was a pyrrhic victory to be sure. Hill is now gone for the season

As if their season wasn't already over, this was the final nail in the coffin. There's also no reason to fire McDaniels during the season - there is no turnaround, no reason to fire him. Just let him go at the end of the season

We will see, it wouldn't shock me if the team actually improves without him. Did you notice that no one really seems to miss him? Look at McD's and Tua's comments after the game.

Then again, this team is still constructed weird, and might still suck even if they improve....we will have to see.

At Seattle, Geno was decent as a backup QB on a team that had been pretty good. Seattle's record during the 3 years he was their starter weren't particularly impressive tho. He's about to turn 35 and the Raiders aren't able to give him the protection he needs.......so, yup, he's not their solution.

I don't know that Shedur would be their solution tho

If I were a GM or coach, I would want to see evidence the young man studies film and takes this stuff seriously. Which I haven't seen from him yet.

And I'd want to see how he does in an actual game....5th round of the draft, currently 3rd string, minimal and not so impressive playing time during preseason? Maybe he has a great future ahead of him, but he doesn't seem like the right choice for a lot of teams at the moment

Not a Jets fan (obvously) and the jets under Woody's ownership keep finding new and inventive ways to lose.

Interesting clip from the Rich Eisen show,

Truth be told, at the start of the season I thought it was a coup, that the Jets were able to snag Aaron Glenn, but with the talent that have on the team, its shocking for them to be 0-4. the sloppiness that's occuring reminds me of Rex Ryan

I have to imagine that the jet fanbase is turning against Glenn. If they lose to the cowboys, I think things will be getting ugly with the fans, and possibly the locker room.

I really don't get why the NFL is going in this direction. That type of injury could have been easily avoided by playing on grass instead of turf. Statistically, lower-extremity injuries happen more often on turf.

As for Hill, that's it, not just for this season. His recovery time will be over a year, and even then he most likely won't be able to play the same way, since his game relies heavily on quick cuts. By the time he recovers, he'll be 33. The only reason to come back would be for the money. He has 8 children to support from 5 different women and might be bankrupt before he can even make a comeback.
