Best.Show.Ever. There are going to be some crazy things happening this season (as if we didn't notice so far!)

This could be one of 24's finest season (not that 1-5 weren't amazing in their own right)

2 hours next week! mmmmmmmmmmmmm.... set those TiVos or DVRs!

I don't want to get any more off topic from 24 in this thread, but please stop giving away the ending. first you said the main character dies, now everyone dies. i wish i didn't know any of it, now i seem to know all of it. thanks again.

Oh gee, sorry about that. I made a suggestion about spoilers here. Seeing as we can't put the episode number in the title (taking a whole 5 seconds  ) to benefit those who live in OTHER COUNTRIES (yes, there are places other than america  ), who's episodes may be a week or two behind. It was that attitude that made me not take 5 seconds to put it in white and write "spoiler".
/vent.
Thankyou.
Btw, I was going to go back and edit those spoilers out, but the ones who complained about them being there quoted them. If you don't want them, why repost them?
Sorry for putting more in, but my point was that it doesn't affect the movie, it's a cheesy ending anyway.

*I will be back on topic now*

this is my first season of watchin 24 live on TV. i started at season one last summer and got hooked from the beginning. i rented/bought every season and watched them from beginning to end, and got a fresh start with season 6.

over the summer, i usually could finish a season within a week or two. after finishing a season, i would usually compare it to the last. now that i'm watching it on TV, i find myself comparing episode to episode, and i think i'm finding it much less enjoyable.

do you think it's because i have a whole week to reflect on an episode and i can say "wow, this week sucked compared to last"? where as over the summer, i was jumping from hour to hour so fast that i just wanted to see what was next.

maybe my standards are too high. just a little rant...

What I don't get is the scene were they were about to execute Jack and his Dad. Did Grahm really want his father dead? I doubt his lackeys were loyal enough to let Jack kill them. Did the father kill Grahm for revenge or because he knew to much? Or because he was becoming to powerful?

Who here thinks Jack will end up torturing his own father?

I wouldn't doubt that for a second.

Did the father kill Grahm for revenge or because he knew to much? Or because he was becoming to powerful?
He killed him because he didn't want to take the chance that the interrogation guys at CTU would make Graem crack, even though Graem was adamant that he wouldn't.

That scene was planned by both Graem (that's the correct spelling of the character's name) and his Father. So, no Graem didn't want pops dead.

Graem was killed by dad because they are in deeper things we don't yet know about. Dad thought Graem wouldn't be able to handle the extra torture that was about to be brought upon him when returning to CTU. Basically, we don't know yet what dad and graem are really behind/planning.

Good episode, even with the oddities - like them leaving Graham hooked to the IV with whatever meds Jack was using to torture him just sitting there with nothing else.

Oh, and the fact that Jack seems to call him "Grame" and the father calls him "Gram". Huh? Maybe Jack's really adopted.

It'll be interesting to see how Morris handles his abduction, and what happens with Jack and the bomb next week.

am i the only one that hears jack's version as "grey"?

great episode. fairly clear that pops was in on it but still a lot to figure out about what exactly they are doing... next week will be hot

I hear that too! Maybe "Gra" is short for "Graem"?

If I were Morris, I'd have to accept the fact that I'm gonna die either way. I wouldn't help those dirty ^%$#ing terrorists even if my life depended on it. So if I didn't comply, they'd kill me, and if I fixed the bombs, they'd probably kill me (as they'd have no further use for me), and if they didn't kill me, I couldn't live with myself knowing I allowed half the country to be nuked, so I'd kill myself.

From the little snipped of next week's preview, it looks like one of the nukes is armed when Jack decides he wants to have a little looksy at it.

Agreed, but we saw what the moron father did in the first two hours - expecting a terrorist to free his son if he dropped something off to another terrorist.

I'm thinking Morris will play along and act like he's doing it (how would they really know, right?) and perhaps rigs it so that it gives off some homing signal or something. Otherwise, how does Jack find the bomb?

Ahh, smart, very smart. Morris would have a chance of surviving, and they get the nukes. Now why didn't I think of that?

Yeah, I bet the plan was to cap Jack first and then pops would go back to work with Graem. Or for him to struggle with the henchmen and hope that Jack got shot in the process. Jack's too good, though.

No, I very much heard that too, to the extent that I had to remind myself that I've seen it as Graem online (since I kept missing it during the intro, if it was even there).

Jack always finds the bomb, unless it's nuclear ("nucular") and within seconds of going off, or unless it's of no consequence. ;)

Anyway, I think Morris will have no choice but to play along (but I disagree about the homing beacon); they'd probably torture him horribly rather that kill him quickly if he didn't, and he knows it.

Maybe they've captured his brother, or they'll somehow get to Chloe. There does seem to be alot of torturing going on this season. I wonder who's next in line?

The VP is dirty as well as most of the people in Palmer's admin.

Remember early on Day 5 though, we were led to believe that the VP was pulling the strings and Logan was waffling and ineffective, then it turned out to not be like that at all. The VP was on the right side by the end of the season.

The current VP (and who else thinks Powers Boothe is a good choice here?) is allied with Lennox, but that doesn't mean they have the same reasons. He might just want to be president. The VP is also flying on Air Force Two somewhere. I wonder where he's going?

Refresh my memory, but did we see Graem completely dead when the episode ended? Or just in cardiac arrest?

I'm pretty sure he was dead. His dad injected him with a few extra CCs of soduim pentathol, he started convulsing, and then he stopped and went limp.

I agree that Graem is dead - seems to be the way things are going this season. I'll definitely be interested to see how Jack deals with his dad on this.
