I tried the test because the right side of my 21.5 seems yellow to me... what do you think?

Sorry for the crappy pictures. Wondering if it's with the hassle of returning/exchanging?
I'm not sure if it's the quality of the pictures, but it looks to me like it's pretty badly tintet in your lower left corner.
If it doesn't bother you or if it's not as bad as it looks in the pictures, keep it. But if you ordered online, why not call them and have them send you a new one while you enjoy the one you have.
Yeah I ordered it from Amazon. They even credited me $100 to price match apples gift card promotion. I have too really stare to even see it, but I just want everything to be perfect especially for the price of this machine![]()
Do you think there is actually a chance I will receive one that is better? From what I've been reading its like hitting the lottery to get a perfect screen. Can't decide if its worth a shot or just return it all together and save the hasslenot good, get a replacement and hope you get a better one.

I'm going to wait till it's darker in the room.
Here are pics of my acceptable screen.
Here it is... it looks like the right side is yellow to me?...
Acceptable ? It looks bad if you ask me, the right side is much darker, but if you don't mind...
What do you guys think of mine?
keep in mind they are iphone shots, and the backlighting seems very consistent/even colour to the naked eye. I also don't see the redish hues on the very edges.

It sucks cause I already returned a 27" with yellowing from about half way down. this one is a 21.5", and the yellowing is slight but noticeable when I'm viewing any whitespace i.e. 90% of webpages.
Should I just return it before the 14 days, or will apple fix it with a perfect panel in the repair shop?
hi,

(pictures taken by nikon d80 complete darkness screen at full brightness)

My machine is otherwise perfect, but I can't seem to make a decision about whether to return or repair my iMac over this yellowing issue...
I've seen this issue before in the 2008 MBPs... I didn't like the issue then and I don't like it now.
I'm curious if there is any kind of utility that will allow me to overlay a gradient in the opposite direction, meaning since this screen's color temperature shifts from bluish to yellowish (from top to bottom) I could apply a yellow-to-blue gradient to normalize the color temperature.
Then I'd be happy about this and not care about the underlying issue. I've dealt with the same problem for years on my Dell 2407WFP, which was infamous for a darkening issue to one side. It was unacceptable for a while, and then it was just a nag, and then I ended up forgetting about it entirely.
So I'm wondering if this problem will go the same with me, and maybe I should just accept it and forget it.
The problem with most of these photographs is that they seem to be taken in a poor light environment, or with a camera that is totally unsuited (i.e. camera phone) or white balanced etc.
Take the photo of your iMac in a brightly lit room with the screen brightness set to what is appropriate to your eyes, with a camera that isn't an iPhone and has been white balanced.
Then, and ONLY then, will you be able to determine whether your panel has substantial yellowing.
