Yes, but did they have bears and moustaches? That's a much more interesting question...And yes, the ancient Greeks did have beards and moustaches.

i'm aware of it's accuracies, but to chose to make this when any other frank miller work could have been produced, given what is going on today, that says something. Someone chose to make this with it's parallels. In modern times, meaning changes. think about it.
This movie must be the most overrated piece of crap ever created by a man. Yes, the graphics are great but they DO look FAKE. I can see the people on screen not "fitting" with the landscape. Everything just seems out of order in this movie...technology is nice but hast to used wisely... 300 doesn't seem natural....

Yes, which is a big reason it was done and the reason it was done the way it was done.
Do you object to the message or that it was presented as well as it was?
I just made the huge mistake of going to see this film. Almost certainly the most exploitative and degenerate piece of work I have seen. A veritable panderfest. I walked out.
So, I was wondering... what movies have you made lately. I'd like to find an example of your work. You sound like you know what you are talking about. *Sarcasm*I really wanted to walk out, but I was with a bunch of my friends and would have wound up sitting in the theater lobby for an hour waiting for everyone else to finish watching the movie.![]()
I think your word choice in 'degenerate' is spot on.
It really failed on numerous levels...before seeing it I was expecting it to compare on similar lines to Braveheart, Gladiator and Troy. The problem with 300 is that the plot is nonexistant, the characters are undeveloped, the visual effects are alright, but ultimately repetitive and not as good as Braveheart's battles. The movies I expected to compare with 300 were better on every single level, hands down. 300 just seems to insist on itself, screaming at you (as every line of dialogue seems to be delivered) to believe that it is an epic movie, when really it is absolute garbage.
The trailer is a more worthwhile cinematic creation than the movie itself.
Do you have a point? So, I was wondering... what movies have you made lately. I'd like to find an example of your work. You sound like you know what you are talking about. *Sarcasm*
I wanted to ask you the same question I asked the other guy. Which studio do you work with? Have we seen your work at any of the most recent festivals?I just made the huge mistake of going to see this film. Almost certainly the most exploitative and degenerate piece of work I have seen. Yes, my point is that you do not have a clue of what most people would find enjoyable. Alternatively, you could have secretly enjoyed the film but you felt it necessary to give us the false impression that you knew better than the common man and that you were somehow above it all. Quite frankly, I would tend to lean toward the latter explanation and I find it quite amusing to watch.Do you have a point?
I don't expect you would attend any festivals where my work is shown if you enjoy crap like 300.I wanted to ask you the same question I asked the other guy. Which studio do you work with? Have we seen your work at any of the most recent festivals?
I went to be entertained, too. I wasn't.I personally found it entertaining but then again I did not go watch it to critique it like I was pretending to be an expert reviewer. I went looking to be entertained and to enjoy myself.
What you know about Shakespeare could evidently be written on the head of a very small pin.I suppose you consider Shakespeare to be some of the most exploitative and degenerate pieces of work and veritable "panderfests" as well? After all, his plays were written for the common folk and they were chock-full of droll sexual puns. They were certain to pander to the most common of tastes.

I also had a good laugh when I saw one snob coming to the defence of another. I did not direct that comment toward you but it is interesting that you felt the need to respond.
Classy. I'll just let your own words speak to your character.I don't expect you would attend any festivals where my work is shown if you enjoy crap like 300.

There is nothing wrong with not liking the film. It is a matter of taste. What i took exception to was how he was characterizing the film as if he knew what he was talking about or that he was better than the rest of us "proles".I don't understand - are you criticizing his opinion? Or that he gave his opinion?
... you didn't happen to make this movie, did you? Hey man, don't worry about the criticism, it's still making money...
Right. You might want to loosen that bow tie on your avatar. I think it is constricting blood flow to your brain.I'm afraid not.
I just have a problem with snooty armchair experts.

How do you know he doesn't or isn't? Pretty assumptive of you don't you think? There is nothing wrong with not liking the film. It is a matter of taste.
