Yes you can.

i jailbroke mine but cannot get cydia installed .. last night got cydia to download to 90% and then error'd out
OK, just ran it on mine, and it worked after about the 5th try. Is it normal to see the skull/apple logo after every boot up?
anyone?
thanks
Cydia and all your existing apps still there?
ITs normal to see the GP skull.
Yep.. didn't lose a thing. Looks like maybe I got lucky. I had my device turned off when I started, and iTunes was not open. Maybe that makes a difference. It just worked for me.
I'm gonna hold off on my iP4 though, until the DevTeam gets this rolled into a stable Pwnage release.
Good luck everyone!
Confirmed, newly released version works perfectly.
AM
All, a bit of transition question.
I am currently JB on 4.1 with Limera1n. If I want to update to this JB, what are the steps, is it Update to newest Apple 4.2.1 and then JB with GP? Would I lose all my JB settings from 4.1 and have to reinstall all my JB apps?
Thanks
I have the intermittent home button issue where it doesnt always respond to my clicks.
There's tons of pages of this on MR and Apple Support.
Should I Just swap my phone and jailbreak with this? Or hold onto mine and just fight it out (or try 4.2.1 first to see if it resolves it)? I only ask because I have an unlockable baseband and I think that adds a lot to the resell value.
Thanks. What would you do?
While reading the comments on new JB releases always amazes me how many people will rush into jailbreaking without having the slightest idea of what they're doing, get themselves in a fix, and then blame the guys who make these tools available for free.
Good grief people - you are hacking your device here. There a lots of variables here, and things can go wrong. If you run a JB on the first day it comes out, you've just volunteered to be a beta tester, no matter what the instructions say. If you don't know how to fix your device if something goes wrong, I'd say that's a pretty risky move on your part.
It's always best to let those who've got a bit of experience with this stuff go first, make sure all is well, document the process, and then only when it's safe, should you proceed. Would it really kill you to wait a day or two?
I've been jailbroken on every iPhone since the first JB came out and have had almost no problems by following this simple plan. The few times I've had troubles, I've gotten answers from the community very quickly and found success.
Thanks again to all you champions of iOS freedom. I salute your contributions to humanity. Please don't let the whining masses deter you from forging the way.
